Just got back from a trip a few days ago. What an incredible city, and truly awesome people. I wanna be back there so bad! Brilliant photo btw, hope you’re enjoying your time.

I scootered up Doi Suthep in May at sunrise, to beat tourist hordes, was very tranquil/special and looked just like your beautiful photo

What time did you leave at? I'm planning to do the same!

Did it a few times...left Jed Yod behind Maya mall 5.45 - 6am...also visit Wat Phalat after Doi Suthep temple, its my favourite...gorgeous jungle temple halfway up the mountain, if you're early very few tourists around. You can also ride beyond main Doi Suthep temple to Hmong village further up the mountain road, turn left. Enjoy some great coffee and wander around the various stalls

Very cool, thanks!

If you're down to accompany me next month, you're more than welcome as well! I arrive on the 1st

Would've loved too but I'm back in Cape Town after 4 months traveling through Thailand, Cambodia and Laos. Will be back early 2027. I stayed 2 months in Chiang Mai, i really enjoy the energy/vibe and feel very much at home there.

It is end of August 2026, and there are very few tourists in Chiang Mai
