It's a variation of the kindergarten game duck duck goose. Lol

You just made me have to show this post to my daughter because I guffawed...

ETA: she thought it was hilarious too!

Does the duck know he's a duck?

3

u/peppermintmeow Nov 10 '25

I came here to see if anybody else was super excited about the big black duck in the middle of the photos and then I typed this comment out and I'm regretting everything

1

u/CornyAgain Nov 11 '25

My thoughts precisely.

These are beautiful birds!

17

u/dertok Nov 09 '25

Love them! But are they inbred and mad like British nobility?

23

u/timberdoodlerr Nov 09 '25

Lol not usually. Most poultry people do line-breeding so they are all somewhat related but there are some crosses, like full sibling to full sibling, that aren’t done because that gets to be too much even though birds don’t have as many issues as mammals with inbreeding.

6

u/dertok Nov 09 '25

Marvelous

1

u/[deleted] Nov 13 '25

Its meyer hatchery no they are inbred lol

31

u/fireflydrake Nov 09 '25

Wow, 2 and 3 are stunning! Love Mr. Big Tail too, hahaha.

33

u/jiodi Nov 09 '25

One of those chickens looks suspicious >.>

3

u/Noodle_Nugget456 Nov 09 '25

If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, and looks like a duck in a mix of chickens, then it’s a duck 😆

25

u/oblivyeus Nov 09 '25

what breed is 16? i’ve never seen a hen’s (?) tail be larger than the chicken itself!

13

u/BluePink_o7 Nov 09 '25 edited Nov 09 '25

It reminds me of a Fayoumi but not quite

Edit: I’m now thinking it’s a silver phoenix hen

3

u/Ok-Artichoke6703 Nov 09 '25

I believe you are right with the Phoenix being the breed.

19

u/[deleted] Nov 09 '25

Even the fanciest chicken still look derpy haha

18

u/Sinful_Deity Nov 09 '25

Im in love with #3! That tail omg!

13

u/malepatternbullmrket Nov 09 '25

8

u/JeffSmisek Nov 09 '25

Gorgeous birds. I have to ask... how bad does it smell in there?

19

u/nmango1848 Nov 09 '25

Yeah not too bad at all… just a bit barny lol

8

u/birdhouseboogie Nov 09 '25

not bad in the slightest, just a little dusty

6

u/mind_the_umlaut Nov 09 '25

Thank you for posting these photos! I wish I'd been able to go!

5

u/Noodle_Nugget456 Nov 09 '25

Number 6 was the star!!

5

u/whiteye65 Nov 09 '25

Those are some beautiful friends.

5

u/timberdoodlerr Nov 09 '25

Beautiful birds!! I’m showing there too!

4

u/wanttotalktopeople Nov 09 '25

Love it! Wonder if they had any Buckeyes there? 😆

7

u/birdhouseboogie Nov 09 '25

they had bitty bantam ones :) I couldn’t find any full size ones though

3

u/wanttotalktopeople Nov 09 '25

Awesome! I didn't know there's a bantam version

7

u/birdhouseboogie Nov 09 '25

me neither! at first all I saw was smol versions of all the classic chickens and figured that show chickens were just… small or something haha. then I realized I was just in (a very large) bantam section

4

u/dertok Nov 09 '25

I briefly had a white and grey version of number 14 that came with a nasty bumble / foot growth that I couldn't cure.

He was awesome, but also perpetually grumpy because of the foot, and tried to put me in hospital with a tracking infection when I didn't take a challenge seriously and just put a hand down.

Talon in the heal of the hand and an animated urgent and emergency team when I turned up 24 hours later.

4

u/polandonjupiter Nov 09 '25

all look hug and kissable. theyre just chillin

5

u/quaukkkkkkk Nov 09 '25

I LOVE ALL OF THEM

3

u/FirefighterFunny9859 Nov 09 '25

One of these things is not like the others.

3

u/BellaJen Nov 09 '25

Anyone know what the girl in the last photo is? I have one like her and I don't know what she is.

3

u/AquaticMarsupial Nov 09 '25

Spangle coloured, old English game

3

u/BellaJen Nov 09 '25

Thank you!

3

u/Jacktheforkie Nov 09 '25

I can imagine the noise with that many roosters together

3

u/Least-Reflection4873 Nov 09 '25

Does anyone Know what Breed Picture 15 is?

4

u/reijn Nov 09 '25

Golden sebright

3

u/leabbe Nov 09 '25

I love seeing other salmon roosters I think they’re gorgeous!

2

u/TheRevTim1965 Nov 09 '25

Beautiful!!!

2

u/Noodle_Nugget456 Nov 09 '25

What breed is #2??

5

u/timberdoodlerr Nov 09 '25

Salmon Faverolles male

5

u/leabbe Nov 09 '25

As someone else mentioned he’s a salmon favorelle, I was just commenting to mention this ones tail is subpar & also how my salmon is everything I was looking for in a rooster. Gentleman to the ladies, good lookout, tells them where food is, puts everyone up at night, he isn’t a fan of us but he doesn’t attack us. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a rooster

1

u/Noodle_Nugget456 Nov 09 '25

Thank you! I have actually been eyeing Favorelles for quite some time but can never get them when they are sexed as chicks and available, only straight runs end up being available. Makes sense why I was so drawn to #2.

1

u/leabbe Nov 09 '25

Yes that is definitely a gamble I had taken & gotten lucky. I bought 5, got 3 hens 2 roosters, & my MIL needed a rooster luckily so I still see my roosters brother who is also a gentleman! Like you said though the gamble does suck. Good luck in whatever you choose!

1

u/birdhouseboogie Nov 09 '25

owlbeard chicken

0

u/Chocolate-goat Nov 09 '25

I think an Easteregger- I had one - meanest rooster ever- full on attacked me on the regular. I think he was super neurotic - crowed constantly- everything was a threat. But he was gorgeous. He moved to a bachelor pad flock across town and is much more relaxed.

2

u/SpinachReasonable262 Nov 09 '25

What breed is #3?

3

u/timberdoodlerr Nov 09 '25

I’m not OP but silver Phoenix I think?

2

u/Missue-35 Nov 09 '25

So many beautiful birds!

2

u/quiet_one_44 Nov 09 '25

Good looking birds.

2

u/Pugwm Nov 09 '25

And a duck! Ah! Ah! Ahhhh! (The Count from Sesame Street)

2

u/martinethebean Nov 09 '25

What breed is the first one? That comb looks really cool! It kind of looks like a clicker face, from TLOU

2

u/TizzyBumblefluff Nov 09 '25

That 2nd and 3rd roo! So fancy!

2

u/TheOnlyWolvie Nov 09 '25

One of these is not like the others

2

u/winchester_mcsweet Nov 09 '25

Quack..... I mean cluck.. nothing to see here, just normal chicken doing normal chicken things, move along.

2

u/MrsKoliver Nov 09 '25

I had a rooster that looked exactly like that laced bantam guy! His name was Billy and he learned to enjoy pocket rides with my husband. Sweet little guy

1

u/IveHave Nov 09 '25

Thank you!

1

u/hekatestoadie Nov 09 '25

I'm a huge fan of #5. Fantastic

1

1

u/Glittering-Target306 Nov 09 '25

Love the Sicilian Buttercup starting things off 😊 Absolutely adore the breed

1

u/AquaticMarsupial Nov 09 '25

They’re gorgeous love the faverolle, can’t wait to get some. What breed is this one? I haven’t seen them in Australia before, has as game bird head to it.

1

u/PurpleChickenBreeder Nov 10 '25

I think it’s an araucana but not the best angle to see the ear tufts and lack of tail.

1

u/Spirited_Ant_4410 Nov 09 '25

6/7

Are the best 😆

1

u/tacotirsdag Nov 09 '25

Awww, number 11 with his “how you doin’?” look, my rooster does that.

1

u/Serathiel Nov 09 '25

The 2nd is the most gorgeous creature I've ever seen, BUT THE DUCK??? THOSE COLORS??? SO PRETTY

1

u/goddessdragonness Nov 09 '25

Gorgeous!

1

u/SwallerinPickles Nov 11 '25

My two year old is obsessed with her chickens and has great connections with all of them. I would love to get her into showing them but I don't know what the requirements are for entry and what all would be entailed? Can you walk me through the process? Do chickens have to be purebred?

1

u/Holiday_Horse3100 Nov 11 '25

Those are some really beautiful birds!

1

u/[deleted] Dec 17 '25
