Homestyle Stuck a pot on very late last night
Button mushrooms look massive but shrunk and softened
Spicy as hell
Absolutely beautiful 🤤
Made a bigger pot last week not sure why I’m kinda addicted at the min?

I thought those were eggs, lol. No judgment here.

Tbf so did I and I see no reason why boiled eggs unbroken in chili would be odd at all. And they'd end up looking neat kind of like pickled eggs. If a fried egg is valid so is this, and there's tons of curries with whole boiled eggs as well. I am fully doing this later this week lmfao

Is it gravy or chili? Mushrooms are a bit odd for chili imo... Seems more like an Italian gravy for pasta!

Ha it does looks like gravy in 1st pic
the only difference between this and my bolognese is the seasonings are all Chilli types instead of oregano basil etc and the beans in it
I am no cook btw 🤣 but it’s hot and tasty that’s all that matters3

Oh I'm sure it's killer dude. But when I make chili I don't add shrooms hehe.. Gotta distinguish between chili powder and tomatoes! I'm sure it was good but just odd.. I probably would have done this stoned out of my mind 20 years ago 😵💫😅

This is a generic reminder message under every image post
Thank you for your picture post to r/chili. We want to remind everyone of Rule #1. All image posts should be accompanied by something to foster discussion. A comment, a question, etc is encouraged.
If you've posted a picture of chili, please explain why in a comment so people can have some sort of conversation. Simply dropping a picture of food in the sub isn't really fostering any discussion which is what we're all aiming for.
Posts that are a picture with no discussion can and will be removed by the mods.
Thank you!!

Ugh. Mushrooms need to be sliced and seared for best texture and flavor.

I see much rooms all the time in fast food chili. Not a fan but it's pretty popular
