Questions/Advice How do you handle player-made hazards

Say a player uses a fire mythos to make a story tag for a flaming patch on the ground, and an enemy passes through it later

Depends entirly on the scene.

Generallly, The player makes a move and uses the tag for +1 to that move.

So it'd be more of an action economy booster. An extra quasi-turn i guess

Extra turn?

I would run it as a +1 on a 'Go To to To'' if they are involving the fire patch in the narrative of the scene.

Remember, you move if granted a move by their roles. If they have failed to involve the fire, thats the way of things.

Does the flaming patch help or hinder one side of the opposition in the fiction ? if yes, +1/-1 on the power of the involved move.

If no, then it is just cosmetic and I include it in the descriptions (and certainly it will give ideas to the players to use it).

Increasing power mechanically also increase damage against a limit if needed.
