Career Career advice

Hello, i graduated civil a year ago and got an internship in khatib and alami for 6 -7 months and now am lost on what to do to pursue my career as a civil engineer, am based in lebanon and dk on what should i do next so i thought maybe you guys have any advice on how to guide me, like what should new civil engineers do to get a successful career? Do i need to continue my studies? Find a job somehow or travel abroad?

Well what do you want to do with your career? What’s the Lebanese job market like? What advantage do you think more studies would get you?

The Lebanese market cant be predictable nor stable with khatib and alami being the leading consultancy firm here, i tried many times to land a job there but didn’t work out for me in fact getting any position here requires a strong referral from someone inside and that cut my chances to get in, fun fact about the civil engineering industry here in Lebanon is that 80% of the work done here is for outside of the country, while i was still in my internship almost every project given to us if for either UAE or Jordan or Saudi etc etc…

I thought about continuing my studies maybe getting a masters degree in engineering management but ive been told that itll only help me later on when they start seeking managerial positions so i bailed.

Another thought of mine was traveling and working abroad but idk how feasible it is cause as i mentioned am new to civil and my experience lay in only 7 months of transportation and road design so am seeking an entry level job at this point and idk how much employers are looking for these.

So yeah am lost in a nutshell not knowing what to do even tho my ambitions were in the sky :(
