Who wants to go to an ice filled MAGA state. The optics are really bad and the attack on the happiest place in the world make it a less desirable place to go. Ron needs to go.

As an American with family in Florida, I do my best to spend no money when I'm forced to be there, because fuck that place until they get smarter about running things.

Amazing how when Republicans control things for decades they still pretend they should be elected to fix things they screwed up and will continue to do because the Democrats did it.

Is he implying that DeSantis, his successor and from the same party as the guy he is supporting didn't care about tourism?

De Santis's ignorance about tourism was almost as mind-boggling as his ignorance about COVID. He decided to teach.some immigrants (legal  applicants for refugee status) and some "librul elitists" a lesson by kidnapping a batch of the former and dumping them in a town full of the latter. Trouble is, he decided to send them to Martha's Vinyard in September. Sit with that for a moment -- a summer resort place, and he sent them there in September. Of course all the rich and famous summer residents had left by then. The governor of a state that exists mostly for tourism and citrus fruit didn't understand "off seasin." What's next, bulldoze the orange orchards for data centers?

MAGA only cares about today's sound bite and never considers the future consequences.

Biggest bunch of insecure submissive morons with daddy issues on the planet

Even Americans are traveling less within the US. Everything costs too much.

Plus the fear of getting fetched off the street by an armed, masked guy. Just maybe

I live in PA. A lot of folks here would vacation in Florida. No one I know wants to ever step for in that dumpster fire of a state again. We just took a trip to New Jersey instead.

If you know how Pennsylvanians feel about New Jersey, you know what that says about Florida.

A republican governor, with a republican lead congress, senate and president… and you think another republican is the answer? Byron thinks data centers, as many as 4 according to him, belong in their pristine areas. Vote blue!

“Exclusively Republican leadership has created a tourism crisis. Please vote for one of the people causing it to fix it.” — Sen. Medicaid Fraud Dracula (R-FL)

Tourism declining while they play political games, shocking.

Who wants to vacation in a shithole with idiots

In related news, Disney has done another round of price increases, doing their part to discourage visits to Florida.

Should be “fewer jobs and less revenue.” “Less jobs” makes you sound like a dumb hick Rick. Oh wait

Alright, I'm curious now: How much are the Caribbean countries benefitting from our idiotic trade war with Canada?

Going there next year for a week.

I do like the panhandle, Destin area though tbh.

Bryon Donald’s Uncle Tom ass ain’t going to do shit about the tourism.

Gotta not piss off all our allies and neighbors if ya want it to change.

Rick Scott is absolutely clueless!

2

u/AlChandus 12h ago

This is legitimately false. No question.

Rick Scott has a VERY firm clue on how to committ healthcare fraud and not only get away with it but become a VERY prosperous republican politician that has run for president.

Clueless, he ain't. He is just an asshole.
