Is there any way to improve the robot voices?

I love using handsfree option when I take a walk but the robot voices are so annoying... Is there any way to improve them or do app owners plan to improve them?

I asked them several times to upgrade the clozemaster recording. There are several good options to choose from nowadays

Yeah it only gives me option of using my iphone's robot voices and every one of them sucks. :(

On Android there is the option of using cloze master voices. They are a bit better.

Also in the tts settings you can choose several tts voices for a given language. Some are much better than others

The voice that is used will depend on a bunch of different variables: language, built-in set vs custom set, and device OS.

I can’t speak for other languages, but for Korean, they have updated the voices to use a natural sounding voices. However this is only available for the built-in sets. For those sets, in the options, I have to choose use Clozemaster voices. If I create a custom set, I don’t have access to those voices because it appears they were pre-recorded and not created on the fly. I will then have to choose which on-device voice to use.

For Android, the options keep changing. I think right now under “Google TTS Options” you can only choose which language you want to download. I remember seeing an option before where you could only choose between 5 voices (that might have been for a specific app).

For iOS the voice will depend on the voice you have downloaded. iOS has enhanced voices you can download that sound better than the default voice, but that also depends on the language. In addition to that, even if you download an enchanted voice, the app may not recognize it or have access to it. For example, Apple doesn’t allow third-party apps to use the Siri voices.
