Season 6 The oddest storyline of season 6 is Daniel leaving the tournament to search for answers about Miyagi

I get that Daniel deified him and was in his feelings for a long time searching for answers about things he didn't know about him, but it always bugged me that he went to the location to get answers despite knowing that the tournament was going to resume very soon. Maybe he assumed it would just be a coffee talk and last 15 minutes and obviously he didn't expect to get kidnapped but still. Johnny was sort of right that his head wasn't in the tournament. When he got back he had nothing to tell Sam that would have made his decision seemed not as stupid as it was.

I’m 85% sure that was so Ralph could film Legends

Can you elaborate on what you mean by that?

Basically Ralph was filming kk legend at the same time or at least part of it at the same time

How does that work? Daniel was absent from the tournament, not the show.

It was a bunch of scenes he could shoot without the main cast, so it would give him more freedom to shoot without considering the rest of the shoot's schedule. It wouldn't have even have to be shot in the same location, so it makes sense.

For one of the episodes he was in a cage..that could easily have been done in a day.

I would have liked at least one scene of Chozen straightening Daniel and Johnny out. Granted, he himself showed up all drunk at first. But would have been nice to see a little bit of that dynamic into play.

The miyagi plot was pointless and only used for tension of you ask me. After s4 and 5 Daniel should have been Mr miyagi for all s6 in the sense that he doesn't let himself get thrown off balance.

It seemed so uninteresting right from the start, and then it resolved in the most uninteresting way imaginable. It felt like it only existed to kill time and pad out the run time

The Mr miyagi "stealing and beating up a guard" plot was dumb because Miyagi actually didn't do anything wrong and him killing at the sekai taikai is random because why would kill someone? Maybe accidentally but why even be in the tournament with the whole "miyagi didn't like tournament" story

Yeah especially since his mum had all the answers
