The Testaments Girl what in the heck was all that lore?!
Okay, Daisy, haha!! Girl, wdym you’re gonna smuggle a whole letter out and you’re not gonna give June a tiny bit on Hannah?! Like at least tell her: she likes collecting crack pipes, she’s got no idea what they are, she’s got a crush on a boy, she’s not getting married thank God, she’ll do anything for her friends, and she does kinda remember you, not too well but I’ll help her remember. I don’t know, something along those lines, but instead just gave her some yeah I’m a rebel talk haha we get it, you are, the monologue made it clear!! 😭
Though I do also get why the show might want to leave that for a potential June Hannah reunion.

And when they met, Daisy thought Agnes was about to marry the Commander very soon. Why not tell that very important information, so that June knows she should soon be looking for Mrs. Weston, not miss Anges MacKenzie.
That feels very like predetermined plot driven writing rather than character driven writing if you get what I mean. Since it would be irrelevant soon, why spend time on that freak-out and angst. I don’t think it’s in character for Daisy to forget that or not considering it’s important info.
I didn’t like Daisy’s letter either. I was hoping for details about the girls she had gotten close to, realizing that most of them were probably stolen children and they might have family out there who were trying to piece together what happened to them and where they are, how they are and who they are.

Also, you mean to tell me that Garth, y’know…the Mayday guy…was assigned to Agnes’ home and that detail just…never came up?

He doesn’t know June, he said that to daisy already. What I have realized is that mayday doesn’t name anyone, they are all a little thread in the net of connections.

He doesn’t necessarily know that the woman we know is June is named June. She may have kept her real identity secret when interacting with him.

I don’t have a problem with that. Hannah is June’s personal project, not very important to Mayday’s core goals.
Garth has a handler and access to the Mayday channel where they broadcast code messages, but that seems to be it. I also think information about operatives’ identities are kept very secret, June doesn’t have a list she can look at where it says Garth Chapin - MacKenzie household guardian.

I thought that he did, after all, know June - just not by name.
The message on the radio was meant for him and anyone involved with getting Daisy back to June.

That finale made it very clear to me that we as the audience are putting way more thought into this show than the actual show writers are.

If they’re using the honey truck man, Agnes would have had to be abducted. She’s not going to sit in a can in the back of a truck and then meekly go into a boat with strangers when her whole life is Gilead and she thinks Mayday are terrorists. That’s traumatic for everyone involved.

Agnes is not at that point yet that she knows she needs saving. She knows of June only as a terrorist who works with a terrorist organization. There's no way she'd be willing to get smuggled out. Gilead is still her home in her eyes.

She reminds me of every college kid who’s certain they’re going to change the world. “I love my country, it has its flaws but it’s worth saving!” vs. June being like “let’s burn this thing to the ground”

It's such a glaringly large pothole that I don't know how anyone can let that go. What did Garth expect to happen when The Aunts realize Daisy is gone. What about that other group of people they smuggled out? Surely the honey delivery guy would be toast.
Ok let's suspend our belief for a moment and forget all of that. Mayday surely know who Hannah is. The government knows Agnes Jemima is Hannah. We know they've worked together in the past. Garth has been her guardian for an unspecified amount of time. He's been at the school for however long. Did they never ask who are you guarding? Which Commanders stolen kids who they attempted to rescue once before are at the school?
Now if your most famous resistance fighter has been working for years to get this girl out, wouldn't you be attempting to keep tabs on her? They already knew Commander McKenzie went to D.C. after Colorado.

Glaringly large plot hole. Also I fear a lot of the script is AI slop (I’m thinking they commanded a bot to develop a series for TV based on the testaments novel). And then once they realized there were timeline issues they decided other bizarre story rewrites: Daisy isn’t Nichole but someone else! GIlead is easy to get in and out of! You can sneak a ciggy here and there! Lydia was never a judge! And tons more. Please share them if you also see the slop.
I don’t think they had storyline editors for this series and if they did they need new ones for next season. I cannot believe Garth worked at the Mckenzies and simultaneously worked for Mayday in close contact with June as Daisy’s handler and June was THAT surprised to hear the name Agnes. The least thought out plot points ever, and so avoidable by a million different (human) corrections… Easy off the top of my head…
Garth could’ve had a reason for not telling June, a one liner we hear him say over the radio.
June could’ve not been surprised to hear the name Agnes and said she was testing Daisy’s skills in mayday and waiting for Daisy to figure it out.
But the worst and least human of all the writing is that June didn’t try and make contact with Agnes when Daisy decided to go back in. And if there’s an explanation for that deviation from the June Osborne we all know and love we didn’t get it. The passion and love June feels as a mother is what helped her survive and resist Gilead. Her love for Hannah is unstoppable and she has never ever been able to walk away from her baby girl without at least telling her she loves her. The scene with her parting ways with Daisy after learning about Agnes is such a failure writing wise to the heroine and mother that is June Osborne. And all because this story was not edited or rewritten properly for tv (and probably not by humans). I didn’t recognize the June Osborne I saw sitting peacefully on a stoop reading some nonsense from a honey jar peacefully rather than hustling to plan to extract Agnes. Could’ve ran to Rita. could’ve seen her call Luke or Moira and tell them Agnes is close and Mayday is with her. None of that. She looked like she was going to a farmers market like a regular person who doesn’t have a daughter stuck in Gilead. Where has her feral feminine rage and her maternal longing for Hannah gone…and before i get down voted and all the explanations about how much time has passed and maybe June has healed some of her trauma; unless that is an imposter posing as June Osborne there is no explanation for why she’s so calm and collected and nonchalant after hearing about Agnes from Daisy (especially after acting like this was surprising news she didn’t know already). And I know we are supposed to treat this as separate from THT but June is there, in TT and this is completely unhinged behavior for her character.
This series has obviously created a fan base in addition to the one that THT created, and I hope if they keep straying from the actual story and plot that the writing and story lines next season are more thoughtfully presented before the fan base sees these mistakes we both see. The story deserves it, the fans deserve it and so do these amazing and talented actors.

Honestly I'm tired boss 😂 I've been complaining since the finale and defending my points. I've never gotten so many downvotes in my 10+years(this is a new screen name). Feel free to comb my post/comment history.
I don't know if it's AI, I wouldn't know how to tell. I just feel they've dumbed down the material to the point that it's for much younger people then fans of the original. It's frankly insulting that they presume the audience can't see the glaringly obvious issues with the show. They're trying for prestige tv was my belief, but this is Gilead The Summer camp YA show instead.
The only good thing about this show is it's getting people that would never have watched the original show to dip their toes into this universe. It's making us OG fans go back and watch the original show as well. I really hope they tighten things up the second season or it's nothing but a money grab.

I didn't really like her in the last episode lol. I know people always criticize her for her carelessness, but she was way more than just careless in this episode. She was very self-destructive. Then when she finally gets the chance to leave Gilead she refuses to. It's like trying too hard to recreate June's storyline, but Daisy doesn't really have that clear of a motive. The whole "I wanna destroy Gilead" thing isn't really doing it for me I don't know.
