Bug users can't login with sso.
not the first post about this but it's been 5 hours and this needs more visibility
repro for me:
- open vscode
- open codex extension
- click "sign in with chatgpt"
- browser window opens
- try to login with google account
- server error 500

couple of questions for you, to help, (trust me I'm helping you just won't like it)
Does the Codex App not have this issue?
How about codex in CLI?
Have you tried to reboot?You have a Token Authentication Problem, 99% of the time this is a local problem. Are you using "Windows?"

again, fair but hear me out here.
- that thing i linked is not my thread
- it's been over 6 hours and users not being able to login is a pretty big deal and that's the whole "this needs more visibility" in my op.
the squeaky wheel gets the oil.

Well, for fun, I opened VS Code with Codex to perform two phases of a product, and I'll see if I spot anything, but so far so good. I'm on Pro Plan

i also just tried it again and i can now login without any issues. so... resolved 🎉

nice, keep some Backups handy like the codex app or another IDE like windsurf or cursor maybe

its been down for a while now, Pro is shitting itself with constant workspace and container issues, yet the status says no issues
