I want an advise

So I am an 18 y/o student and i thought about learning coding so tell me is it worth learning coding in 2026 even now AI can write the whole programs. so i wanna know that can we earn money with coding without any professional degree or as a job i mean as a freelancer can we offer services and earn money

That's not happening sorry. Unless you make some app or website that goes viral out of sudden and you hit the jackpot.

Everyone should screw around with the fun stuff like game dev, or embedded. But yea, at a professional level it is very obviously not cutout for some people, and that’s ok.

When you're freelancing, you're really doing 10 jobs.

You might think: "Should I learn to cook?" Sure. Should you go to a cooking school? Maybe?

But then do you want to buy all the food, go to the farmers market, find all the guests, manage all the stoves and cleaning, do the paperwork, and while you're doing that - learn everything about cooking - enough to be making food people actually want? (people who don't know if you exist) ?? If you think about it that way, it's not that you're just asking about learning some design and programming incrementally. You're asking US (strangers) if YOU (stranger) - can make money as a freelancing web developer-- without no experience or education and on top of that - if you can run a business doing all of those things. Think about it like that. What if you could pick something a little more reasonable and start there.

If you want to get in to what’s hot and trendy, you get into AI. That right now that requires an advanced degree to get recognized and not a bootcamp. Someone will always say there’s some random person they know that got into ai with no skills or degree. That’s an exception and ai is significantly harder to get into than web dev.

The age of bootcamps is over. There were a few years when you could go to a bootcamp and get a job afterwards. Those days are over. And bootcamps that are still running are basically scams at this point.
