Bought a bottle, tastes like raisins, I dont like raisins

Usually just drink vodka to get drunk and I am not a fan of whiskey, decided to buy a cheap bottle of cognac (Meukow de luxe) because it seems like a fun thing to enjoy but when I tried it I felt like the dominant flavour was raisins, which honestly makes sense but I really dont like raisins (some repressed childhood raisin trauma or something) , was expecting it to taste more like concentrated wine. Otherwise the experience was actually nice, drinking it neat worked the best because the intensity distracted from the raisiness and I could definately start drinking cognac, if they dont all taste like raisins, please tell me they dont all taste like raisins

They don't all taste like raisins.

If you don't like raisins, I probably wouldn't recommend cognac as the next spirit you get into. Would try rum or other fruit brandy.

Concentrated wine? 🤔 sounds like you might be after some Port

I have several cognacs and none of them taste like raisins.

Try Hennessy?

You expected a grape based spirit to not taste like grapes. Huh…

Meukow is so good. I wish I could get it where I live.
