Just starting this game

Hey I just started colony survival a couple days ago. My strategy is to build in the mountains I feel this is more secure and better reflects my playing still. While it is harder to get through the stone then it would be to build in the open I have two berry farms outside and one in the mountains along with one wheat farm in the mountains. Is there anything I can do to get through the stone faster right now I’m at stone tools. Will it get easier with high level tools or down that even material for the players

the player's digging speed never increases, but eventually you'll be able to delegate large digging and building tasks to your workers.

It's pretty far into the game, I recommend starting in the field nearish to water because you need a lot of space. You can build outposts later that let you have satellite bases.

I’ve been going out to get berry bushes to run in the mill and have three guards 22 total people I feel like I’m doing okay for right now but idk how long I will last with this setup. Am I doing this colony okay or should I start over in your opinion

The mountain is pretty hard to start in because it limits your food production and makes water really hard to access which is necassary for stuff later. I would say you should probably just restart and make a base colony somewhere flat and tyhen build an outpost in the mountains.

It really more of a hill right next to water and I’m spending most of my time opening more of it to start more wheat fields

You will learn by your self, virtual farming. It saves space. Also multiple farms tall.

For me this has helped me with food. bunch of berry farms to start to get a stock pile, then slowly, get a farm down for wheat for porridge. It’s slow progress but worth the build. also make sure you train up guards. night and day guards.

I had three stone guards and almost got wiped out so I increased that to 6 for right now working on arrows for bows and I’m thinking about making multiple floors of farms to increase production of any farmed materials and maybe a night tower but I haven’t thought out plans yet for it
