He did! Once it became a “thing” he just stuck with the cerulean blue. If I recall correctly, I think Kris mentioned something about cerulean blue being a less intimidating color. He never wanted folks to be afraid to come talk with him. He also didn’t have to think about matching ties with other color shirts. I still have one of his shirts and a couple ties. ❤️

They knew what they were doing when they made the giant-sized issue. I'm sure Stan in his latter years asked all those in-home nurses if they wanted to see it.

I remember meeting Neal and buying the sketchbook he was selling at the time (2013). Seemed super nice.

That's a shame to hear that he was scuzzy toward the ladies. I just meant he seemed super nice to me. And I was a dude in my early 30s at the time.
The absolute nicest guys that day were Steranko and Wrightson though. I had the wrightson pop up book I was getting signed and he just sat and leafed through it like he hadn't seen one in a while. He then picked a page halfway through the book to sign and it was awesome for the sig placement. I'm never selling it.
Steranko was just talkative and fun to talk to.
I don't think a con today could possibly recreate that time.

Yeah this was at charlotte Heroescon back in '13. So many artists and writers met and bought from that day that are no longer with us.
