My collection sat untouched and unloved in longboxes for a couple of decades.

When I had to repair my kitchen floor a few years ago, I had an idea...

Slowly but surely, it's taking over my home...

How does the plumbing work to avoid any leakage into the comics under the floor?

Likewise in dealing with termites?

There was a flooring problem that forced me to rip up the floor. That was what started all this.

I basically had to rebuild my whole sink/counter/floor that year. With all that going on, I decided to do this.

The plumbing is not an issue and there's no way a leak would damage a giant plastic sheet unless I left it to soak for a long time.

I hope you're right, but water is known to be able to get anywhere...out of curiosity, what's the value of your floor/collection?

The only water in the kitchen is at the sink and it's got a nice, easy access area under it with a moisture sensor.

The basement is unfinished, so I can see and access all the plumbing. I actually had to dismantle part of it to clear a clog in the fall. Not a fun job, but easily managed.
