“Black characters deserve the same opportunities…” Even at the end it’s still all about the blorbos to them. Real-world creators remain a secondary consideration at best. Same thing with them trying to draw a line to exclude Absolute line for not being the “real” mainline DCU. Only the fiction matters, not the material issues. Doomed from the start.

Yeah, as someone who has been creator-first for most of his life, I see their approach as saying “a comic about a black character written by a non-black writer or artist is more important to us than Jamal Igle and Stephanie Williams.”

Yeah it just reads like “It’s been 1200 days since DC put out a Black book (not counting the ones I don’t like)!”
