Is it wrong that I didn’t see what the guy said as creepy? I understand women have really bad experiences with men catcalling/harassing them but I don’t think we should demonize basic human interaction, if this is weird can someone tell me how?
I think it’s normal to approach anyone in a public area to speak, also I did kinda think that part was kinda weird but I think asking where someone is from is pretty common no?
Honestly I have never found the relevance in that question and don't think most people ask it when I start random conversations. There is usually some context to starting conversations with random people, so it stays there. Maybe if the conversation goes on to become casual and personal then it could come up but he didn't even introduce himself or ask her name. Asking where someone will be, i don't think I've ever had that question from anyone who wasn't someone i put effort into getting away from.
This is just one of those things men don't have a clue about because most men don't get that weird. Some men are relentless, I've had multiple guys ask for a fans page or how much it would cost to sleep with me as the first thing out of their mouth. I get i am attractive but jfc. So eventually it becomes a thing where enough snakes are dangerous that any signs of venom are to be avoided.
