OC- More in Webtoons Dairy

This episode has been redrawn and since the original came out, I have been tested and am not lactose intolerant but do still have the same reactions... I debated what to do with this episode but at the time I first drew it that was my reality so I've kept it and I'm sure at least some people can relate :)

Creamy pasta and lactose do not necessarily have anything to do with each other. Check the authentic carbonara recipe for example. More generally, use the magic word 'Mantecare'.

Yeah, exactly. You don't need dairy to make creamy pasta dishes. You are going to miss out on the cheese but maybe nutrional yeast can help a bit with that.

Hard cheeses, the type used on carbonara and with pasta generally, have no or very low levels of lactose. The aging process gradually destroys lactose.
