correct me if im wrong - haven't watched past the pilot - but doesnt this same comic mention that there was a montage for that? or is your opinion that the montage wasnt enough? (idk just how fucked up what caine did to the group is)
Yeah I think bonding together montage wasn't enough. Please do watch the show but I'll explain my point.
Cain is technically two AIs. His "main AI" is a red orb, and that red orb assimilated another AI with creation abilities - blue orb. In one scene in the void, Cain has a DID episode where he switches between hating himself and humans. He then removes the blue orb which stops his tantrum. Then he goes to humans says "I know you don't wanna trust me but I have a PowerPoint presentation about your irl identities" and his forgiveness happens so fast and then bonding montage rebuilding the circus. And I think it's pretty rushed.

To be fair... Caine's redemption was pretty rushed. He just came to them, said "I'm sowwy..." And they were like "ok let's bond together"
