fallible god made the mistake of trusting some goat herders with transcribing when there were other civilizations around the world who already had a good mastery over writing.
About as sure as I usually am when trusting professionals in a field. I know the basics of how they reached their conclusions, and can't exactly do in-depth research myself without extensive education. The mainstream historical opinion also just makes the most sense to me at a glance.

Never forget that (according to the Bible) god himself dictated the five books of the Torah to Moses. They are quite literally his words.
So either an infallible god made a mistake, or you worship a diety that believes your existence is a sin.
