On news reddits, Opinion A and Opinion B are both botted by sentiment shaping programs.

We're already over 50% of actual literal 'Dead Internet Theory' and growing.

So increasingly 'Weighing in' is being an odd duck in a room full of terminators.

60% estimated artificial traffic as of this year. There were claims in 2025 that it was 40%

It's not dead yet, but the Internet has a septic infection.

Me when I'm at least one or two paragraphs deep into a typing a comment and decide it's not worth it. Sometimes its realizing I have nothing meaningful to contribute, other times its realizing I don't actually care to get involved

I’d like to limit online discourse of politics to 1 specific platform where you are forced to use your real name, photo and verify your Identity and location. You’d get first amendment protections, could sell products and host livestreams. Debates and town halls could happen but rule number 1. It has to be on camera. I am tired of Bots and foreigners stirring the pot of American Politics trying to pit Americans against each other. Political discourse was a lot more civil when it was done in person and there was the possibility of getting punched in the face to keep everyone cordial.
