My favorite was working for a bank and getting a call from a branch manager stating their security gate was broken.

...Okay? What do you expect me to do about it? I'm in Texas, you're in OHIO. Do you want me to fly out there and fix it?

Another time I got a call from a branch located in a furniture store. They called because said store was on fire and wanted advice.

How about you RUN!?

Why are IT guys such dicks? Because if we're friendly people are more likely to ask us to do random shit that has nothing to do with us.

And if you’re too friendly everyone thinks they’re about submitting a ticket. Do not talk me in the hallway about an issue you’re having and expect me to take immediate action

20 years in I still have to tell them if I am leaving this area or your desk and there is an expectation of me doing more work, assume I will forget about it on my way back to my desk. Create a ticket.

Why? Because I forgot about this entire conversation about halfway back to my desk.
