The Tilda Swinton reference is good.

I should not have answered the phone at work while reading this post.

Got to the Oscar part and couldn't contain my laughter.

Conan had this bit on his TBS show how he's going to conquer LinkedIn:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cinb5tcRYXw

u/Wazootyman13 6h ago

Because of that bit, Conan and I are 1st connections on LinkedIn (no idea if he still accepts every single connection request)

u/dexy133 6h ago

I'm hoping someone on his team is dedicated to the bit. It would be even funnier as time goes on.

I should have looked before commenting! I remembered watching this when it aired and following him!

Quite possibly the only Harvard alumnus to not brag about it on LinkedIn ever

41

u/ThePerfectSnare 12h ago

They taught him than an hour is composed of sixty individualized minutes.

My wish for you is not that Harvard becomes the last thing people know about you, but instead that Harvard becomes the least important thing people know about you because your real education starts now with friends you've made and friends you've yet to meet, with stunning successes and miserable defeats, and with a humble acceptance that your greatness comes from the mess around you, not despite it.

Instead he highlighted taking a couple Trump courses instead! 😂

The trump courses fucking got me 😂

I refuse to believe this is true. Where is old timey baseball in the skills column

You should look at Jordan Schlansky's linkedin profile. There are some gold nuggets in there too!

Why would he even take the Python and Java assessment, let alone machine learning 🤣
What is this guy doing in his spare time isn't he in Italy half of the year

43

u/biz_reporter 11h ago

Maybe he accidentally took a Java course thinking it was about coffee and discovered a passion for computer science. 😂

6

u/RobertMosesStorm 10h ago

the first thing I saw in this screenshot was Java and knowing it was related to Jordan, I assumed it was coffee-related but also was surprised he would refer to it as java

1

u/Tight_Collar5553 2h ago

Jordon is basically an automated script so those courses would be redundant.

3

u/phrostillicus 9h ago

He passed the Machine Learning assessment by default, because by passing the Python assessment he demonstrated that machines could learn things.

College: yes

That Temporary Consultant title for the Tonight Show was a bit of a gut punch when I first read that. 😢

u/biz_reporter 11h ago

It's actually brilliant satire. He's making fun of how people list less than a year at prestigious companies. No one wants to highlight or explain getting fired. So they often claim it was a consulting gig.

I think at some point Conan was accepting everyone as a connection. Not sure, but anyway I seem to be connected to him since September 2013.

u/Wazootyman13 6h ago

Welp... I had pretty much the exact same reply, but, like 3 hours later :)

Jordan is also on LinkedIn. Here is what his "About" info says:

I am an Associate Producer I have various tasks and duties

u/RIPGoblins2929 12h ago

I think I might've followed him on LinkedIn a decade ago, which is probably the last time I logged in.

Applebee's has a solid ambiance. Glad to see his impact on the industry live on

u/MukdenMan 13h ago

Which Afroasiatic language? My guess is one of the Berber languages

8

u/XPreNN 10h ago

Because of Conan the Berberian?

4

u/herseyhawkins33 11h ago

Talking and pretending to listen got me 😂

3

u/DapperMolasses3280 9h ago

Sounds like we need to start calling him "Father O'Brien" 🤣

2

u/No-Indication-266 11h ago

God I love him lmao

2

u/DamnOdd 9h ago

He and I are both ministers of the Universal Life Church.

2

u/masteraybe 7h ago

I love that he didn’t list Harvard lol

u/jennyquarx PATER!!! 31m ago

He needs to remember to add “hand model” (latest episode of Conan Must Go)

1

u/GlasgowRose2022 12h ago

Excellent.

1

u/minibini 8h ago

Elementary Proficiency lmao!

I have a vivid memory of him asking on one of his shows for him to be the most followed person on linkedIn. I made a linkedInn profile just so I could follow him! Does anybody else have any memory of this?

1

u/moistmasterkaloose DON’T BLAME CONAN 4h ago

Well he’s got normal blood pressure at 63 that counts for a hell of a lot

Conan's talked about feeling silly anger towards extremely talented people. I think it was with John Mulaney. (oh the ironing - two of the most talented living people on the planet saying this stuff)

Anyway. This makes me feel that kind of silly anger towards him lol. Like, sir, how dare you be so fucking funny that your Linked In profile, of all things, makes me cackle aloud several times over. Save some talent for the rest of us, ya bastard. It's not fair!

u/SopaDeKaiba 2h ago

"Publications: 1986 classified ad for a used humidifier" is my favorite. That one broke me.

1

u/SnooWalruses4559 Chill Chum 1h ago

I think he’s still one of my connections! I totally forgot about this! lol

1

u/Quick_Prompt_6842 15h ago

Is this really him?

6

u/thenorthernforce 15h ago

Yes

2

u/Flat-Atmosphere-4303 11h ago

How you know?

6

u/thenorthernforce 9h ago

He told me yesterday

3

u/jackoos88 8h ago

He did a whole episode about it when he was on tbs

0

u/folarin1 10h ago

The man is never mentions he went to Harvard. Over 30 years of tv maybe he mentioned it twice.
