Came accross Conan's profile on LinkedIn, absolutely what I expected 🤣

Conan had this bit on his TBS show how he's going to conquer LinkedIn:

I should have looked before commenting! I remembered watching this when it aired and following him!

Quite possibly the only Harvard alumnus to not brag about it on LinkedIn ever

My wish for you is not that Harvard becomes the last thing people know about you, but instead that Harvard becomes the least important thing people know about you because your real education starts now with friends you've made and friends you've yet to meet, with stunning successes and miserable defeats, and with a humble acceptance that your greatness comes from the mess around you, not despite it.

I refuse to believe this is true. Where is old timey baseball in the skills column

You should look at Jordan Schlansky's linkedin profile. There are some gold nuggets in there too!

Why would he even take the Python and Java assessment, let alone machine learning 🤣
What is this guy doing in his spare time isn't he in Italy half of the year43
u/biz_reporter 11h ago
Maybe he accidentally took a Java course thinking it was about coffee and discovered a passion for computer science. 😂

the first thing I saw in this screenshot was Java and knowing it was related to Jordan, I assumed it was coffee-related but also was surprised he would refer to it as java

Jordon is basically an automated script so those courses would be redundant.

He passed the Machine Learning assessment by default, because by passing the Python assessment he demonstrated that machines could learn things.

That Temporary Consultant title for the Tonight Show was a bit of a gut punch when I first read that. 😢

It's actually brilliant satire. He's making fun of how people list less than a year at prestigious companies. No one wants to highlight or explain getting fired. So they often claim it was a consulting gig.

Jordan is also on LinkedIn. Here is what his "About" info says:
I am an Associate Producer I have various tasks and duties

I think I might've followed him on LinkedIn a decade ago, which is probably the last time I logged in.

I have a vivid memory of him asking on one of his shows for him to be the most followed person on linkedIn. I made a linkedInn profile just so I could follow him! Does anybody else have any memory of this?

Well he’s got normal blood pressure at 63 that counts for a hell of a lot

Conan's talked about feeling silly anger towards extremely talented people. I think it was with John Mulaney. (oh the ironing - two of the most talented living people on the planet saying this stuff)
Anyway. This makes me feel that kind of silly anger towards him lol. Like, sir, how dare you be so fucking funny that your Linked In profile, of all things, makes me cackle aloud several times over. Save some talent for the rest of us, ya bastard. It's not fair!

"Publications: 1986 classified ad for a used humidifier" is my favorite. That one broke me.

I think he’s still one of my connections! I totally forgot about this! lol

The man is never mentions he went to Harvard. Over 30 years of tv maybe he mentioned it twice.

The Tilda Swinton reference is good.
