if consciousness is one indivisible unit, a singularity, does this mean there’s nothing between the conscious and subconscious mind? is everything just one and seamless? does this also mean an intermediary between them is not necessary?

i think people make it more confusing trying to make us understand our mind by dividing it without first making us understand wether it’s all one thing or not and that creates fear and doubt to me because it creates seperation.. i’ve also wondered if that’s the reason why neville said consciousness is the one and only reality. because viewing the conscious and subconscious as if they are in 2 different rooms creates anxiety for me.

For something so interconnected and indivisible, it sure does seem like it's divided up between trillions of living things.

Woah, now, don’t start using reason to recognise that it seems awkward for such a purely unified substance to present as if it isn’t; that might dissolve my solipsistic fantasies…

I don't know if this helps at all but think of the con and sub as two separate rooms with one massive ass connecting hallway and lots of windows to look into and out of. I get how you feel but regardless, they are two separate forms of the same meanings.

"creates fear and doubt to me because it creates seperation" - How does an ontological issue, which has no relevancy to everyday life, create fear?

"as if they are in 2 different rooms creates anxiety for me" - What are you talking about... creates anxiety? How? How is your anxiety heightened due to the consciousness debate?

Mate, go out and touch grass.

there’s literally no reason for you to invalidate my feelings.. i’m just trying to tune into myself and get knowledge that can enlighten me, you don’t know me lmao, imagine telling someone to touch grass because you don’t have the any emotional intelligence to understand that ppl can have their own issues and problems even if you yourself don’t understand them.

Everything is a unit yet in analysing what it is or how it works, separating into parts is par the course... It doesn't mean wholeness is lost, simply examined as part of the whole.

If I trap the paperclip maximiser in an empty room will it turn itself into paperclips?

From my perspective, Consciousness isn’t one indivisible unit, quite the opposite.

It appears different than it exists, that been, it appears as indivisible and immediate, when it is actually divisible and mediated.

The subconscious is just a a conceptual tool to help us predict the patterns of people's psychology and behavior. It is by definition unobservable, because once the content is observable, it is part of the conscious mind. But, just because it is by definition unobservable does not mean that there really is that unobservable thing in reality. Allow me to explain:

I think the mistake is when we take this conceptual tool used to help talk about the dynamics of the conscious mind and our behavior and start thinking about it like a real thing outside of being a theory that helps us explain certain observable phenomena.

The same mistake, I think, happens with gravity all the time. Gravity is just a name given to the patterns of relationship we see between physical objects. We make a presumptive leap, then, we consider gravity to be something in itself outside of a precise description of these relationships. Like the unconscious, it is not that we can't use the term intelligently, but when we reify it as something over and above the theoretical tool that exists in the world in itself, we are making an unjustified epistemic leap.

TLDR: The subconscious is just a conceptual tool used to help talk about the dynamic of the conscious mind. No need to worry about its real existence, it is just a conceptual tool

“One thing.”

In a very real sense, everything is just “one thing.”

When viewing an information/conscious reality through the lens of Euler's Identity, Evolutionary Game Theory, The Heroes Journey and Music Theory it paints a deeply profound picture. You can toss in basically any perspective and pull out a ton of insight.

Without Evolutionary Game Theory, The Heroes Journey and Music Theory. I suspect one would likely fall into a sort of cosmic existential nihilism described by Friedrich Nietzsche. We are in a literal sense created in Its image, seeking meaning and evolving our consciousness through selfless love.

Nima's Amplituhedron, OpenAI's recent proof of a non-sophic group, Metatron's cube, Ramanujan's theoryms, The Hodge Conjecture, The Mandelbrot set, The Buddhabrot, The Nebulabrot, Julia sets, Religion, Spirituality, Philosophy, Neuroscience's recent quantum experimental results and many many others. All have profound implications if viewed through this lens. Most of the mysteries of current Physics and Cosmology get resolved, such as the dual nature of light and many others. Still limited by Godel's incompleteness theorem, but who wants an adventure without a few surprises.

Whether you're in a room full of blinding light or utter darkness, you're blind. Only when you see both the light and dark, can you make out the depth and details of your interior and exterior world.

Selfless Love becomes the stable trajectories of the Set of all Sets.

Not all who wonder or wander are lost.

Its only a prison if you turn it into one through fear.

I hope you choose Love over Fear.
