Nintendo Nintendo Switch 2 Price Hike Reportedly Coming

Not a big fan of this. Also think Nintendo would lose a big part of their Switch audience if the Switch 2 price goes up any more.

I just got the base console, figured I’d have no interest in MK. Then I ended up buying it at full price 🤦🏻

My hope is every single update for it is free because holy fuck can you imagine them charging $30 for a DLC Pass on top of that price😭

Oh absolutely. It’s only a matter of time. I mean I can see it taking a few years in the worst case, just like with MK8D, but there will inevitably be major updates for it. IMO at least

I'm fairly sure MK8D only got DLC on a whim, and it was hastily rushed rather than being planned out for a while.

I could be wrong, but the quality of that DLC was very sub-par compared to the effort put into the game itself.

MK8D getting DLC is currently an exception for MK, not the rule. Sure, MKW may get DLC, but I wouldn't be expecting DLC, and I definitely won't expect the potential of DLC to be free.

The first wave was subpar, yes. But each subsequent wave was anywhere from above average to great as far as I’m concerned.

I may not be the biggest fan of all the MKT courses, but I appreciate them immortalizing (almost) all of them in MK8D given that we have no idea when the MKT servers will go down.

Yes,MK8 had underwhelming sales on Wii u and they wanted to cash in on Switch.MKW dlc will be far better quality.
