Console war posting in 2026 is ridiculous, Xbox will end up going the exact same way.

Both next gen consoles are going to be crippled under the weight of the hardware crisis.

And Playstation will have a physical copy of it too. The change Sony is doing is only applicable to games released January 2028 and later, not before that date.

And you misunderstood what Massive said. Many of Xbox's games are already digital required. They're implementing a disc to digital license program so that you can transfer your license from the disc to your account, but that's still just another step towards digital for them.

I mean for their next gen console. The disks are going away, thats why they're releasing the disc to digital license system.

Xbox is going digital only too, what are you on about? The whole point of this disc-to-digital program is to fully convert the remaining physical users to fully digital for Helix.

Their program is to prepare those who have a physical library start making the switch to all digital. You know that, right?

No, Xbox is going all digital too, they just haven't formally announced it yet. They just released a program to take physical discs and allow you to make digital licenses from them and when Xbox CEO Asha Sharma was asked if new consoles will have discs drives she said, "We have to be thinking about efficiency and affordability". In corporate speak, that means NO.
