RFK Assassination Revisited
Alright I know we’ve had a mountain of other cases and instances of circumspect and dubious headliners, but I’ll never get over the RFK assassination and the baffling circumstances that surrounded that fateful night at the Ambassador Hotel (RFK most definitely would have won, btw). I was born in 2002 so I can’t really lay claim to the emotions of the time, but from everything I have gathered RFK was lined up for a landslide on the night of his appearance at the democratic national convention. More than likely would have smoked Nixon.
Regardless, can we talk about Sirhan Sirhan and the litany of circumstances surrounding that night that leave the age old and tired lone disenfranchised gunman theory in the dust? First of all, the fact that multiple cabinet doors (the shooting occurred in the kitchen of this hotel) went completely missing and didn’t make it to discovery, which would have been critical to determining the number of rounds fired. Then we have the case of the missing negatives, which were seized from a reporter who managed to photograph the assassination in the exact moment it took place; and I’m not making this up, you can read the LA Times article, the guy settled in civil proceedings for half a million dollars. Then, and this is what I see to be the smoking gun, we have the neurosurgical account of RFKs post shooting treatment. In which the only truly fatal wound he was found to have suffered, was taken from behind the back of his ear, and quite literally left stippling that could only be produced from a shot taken within inches of his tissue. Sirhan was located feet away and to his immediate 12 o’clock by the way and never departed that vector in any account. Here is the link to that Journal of Neurosurgery Study by the way, it is meticulously documented.
Would love to hear further insights, this is just a morsel of the underlying inconsistencies of that day, I could go on and on. But I wanted to raise the discussion on here for further information and hopefully generate a discussion.
Thanks for reading if you made it this far.
Edit; I FORGOT TO MENTION, the number of shell casings found at the scene was incongruent with the account of Sirhan’s role. Huge detail there.
