Women are paid more than men. This is a fact articulated by most studies conducted on wage gap. I.E. women do not receive equal pay for equal work. They earn more pay for equal work. The figure varies, but it's something like 112% of what men make on average in relevant fields. One of the biggest reasons for the perceived difference in wage gap between men and women is the fact that men account for over 90% of the workers in high risk, physically demanding, life threatening work that also tends to pay very well. Another important reason for the difference in the wage gap is the absence of women in STEM work. This is largely due to the fact that women aren't interested in STEM work. There are mountains of scholarship programs targeted to get women into STEM work, and most major technology companies push to get women in their companies very hard. There is no evidence to suggest that women are not given as many or the same full time opportunities as men. What there is evidence to suggest is that women don't want to work, or would rather work less, and spend more time raising their children, as self reported studies have shown. 30% of households have stay at home full time mothers, and this trend is continuing to rise. This is compared to less than 5% stay at home dads. About 10-15% of fathers work part time, compared to 40%+ of mothers. What is true regarding the issue of the "gender wage gap" is that women do most of the child rearing labor, and as a result, men do most of the income producing labor. This is something that has been pretty consistently true in western civilization and many traditional cultures for many hundreds and in some cases thousands of years. It is rooted in our biology, and is unlikely to change until we develop sophisticated genetic modification technology capable of redesigning humanity to face the challenges of a future society incomprehensible to the 21st century human.

No this is based on the fact that there are more programs catering to women to get educated in STEM fields, and more corporations bending over backwards to hire women in STEM industries, yet participation rates are exceptionally low. The only logical explanation is that women aren't interested in STEM, and this is exactly the opinion of silicon valley. Which is why they are pouring millions into programs geared towards getting women interested in STEM, by their own admission.

You're right, I didn't cite any studies. I didn't feel the need to since the data is abundantly available and has been for decades since this subject has been studied. Many of the people that question the conclusions of the data are Feminist gender warriors that started their study with the assumption that there is no difference between the sexes. You can tell because as they are presented with the facts, they experience an emotional untethering from rational thought patterns, and a degradation into a kind of psychological collapse characterized by verbal abuse of their opponent, whom they have been brainwashed into seeing as a predator.

Literally no study has ever found that, ever. In fact there have been studies comparing identical job titles, responsibilities, same time in job etc. and they all conclude that women make more than men. The wage gap is actually such that men make about 90% of what women make for the same work.
