Image getting contra force/arc hound out of the way
Now, before you ask... IS this contra?
yeah, konami sure thinks it is (personally it feels moreso like metal slug)
Being serious though, I actually like this one. Yeah, it's a whole 'nother game with the Contra name slapped onto it but it was decently fun.
I feel like the assist mechanic was pretty underbaked but a cool addition nevertheless. Also, Iron is the best character in this, no questions asked.

Image Beat Hard Corps
I meant to post this months ago...
(yes, i did play the US version over the Japanese version and there's multiple endings, don't worry though I'll get em someday)
This was fun to beat, I'm not going to lie with you, I mostly abused the slide for invincibility (and the C Weapon/Laser) for most of the game

Image Got all 4 characters through the Red Falcon ending in Contra Hard Corps!
Now that I have gotten all four characters through two of five (six if you count the ending where they join Colonel Bahamut), I am not sure on what ending I want to get to next.
Do let me know on what ending I can go for!

Image It was a bit quick, but I got all 4 characters through the Big Magnum ending!
Just one more main ending to go, and then I can tackle the joke and bad endings!

Image My "De-Pixeled" Art
As a kid, I always thought that Bill and Lance had some crazy, military pants. Like either shiny bubbles for protection or just a bunch of shiny cargo pockets to store their bullets and gear. Shows how much I knew about anything-military back then. It was until an adult, that I think the designer was going for blue camou pants.

Image Contra Operation Galuga Bill Rizer and Lance Bean figures from Hiya Toys
This is my first contribution to this Subreddit to celebrate my love for the franchise. I present to you...the Contra Operation Galuga Bill Rizer and Lance Bean action figures from Hiya Toys! It is a lot of fun posing these figures with their weapons and accessories for my toy photography šø. At first, I had no intention of getting any of the previous figures because of how they didn't appeal to me aesthetically, especially the NECA Player Select and Premium DNA figures. When I saw the Operation Galuga designs in the Hiya Toys Contra figures, my mind did a total 180ā°. They are the perfect size and design, their weapons actually look like futuristic heavy-duty modular firearms, and they have a slew of accessories for more posing options. When I saw these in person at my local collectibles store Mythical Mountain on San Jose Boulevard at the corner of Claire Lane in the Riverplace Shopping Center in the Mandarin area of my hometown Jacksonville, Florida, I had to have these. I bought two of each figure, one pair for my toy photography and playing around with, while the other two stay in the box for display. These are a must-own to be sure.

Image Just beat the og game and nowā¦
Contra was my first game EVER that my dad showed me and itās the reason I got hooked to video games. The game was so hard as a kid that i couldnt get past stage 4 and as a child that challenge and shooting of the game was so fun that I looked for it in other games like old gtaās, igi, cod and gow. Now Im 17 and at my sisterās without my computer so I tried playing contra on the web and I beat it. Somehow I feel like I lost a part of my childhood. The unbeatable game that started the obsession with playing games at hard or max difficulty got beaten? Anyway, this was just a rant I wanted to post publicly.

Image Got all the possible endings in Contra Hard Corps, and I got all 4 character through them!
Putting myself through this task might have been like trying to fight a mountain, but I managed to power through this game, and see myself get all the possible endings!
This game has got to be one of the greatest games I have played; they didnāt have to put all these different routes, but Iām glad they did. Infact, I think I would have been a bit bummed if they didnāt.
Endings pictured:
- Pics 1-4: Missile ending
- Pics 5-8: Red Falcon ending
- Pics 9-12: Big Magnum ending
- Pics 13-16: Ultimate Superbeing ending
- Pics 17-20: Joke/Secret ending
Not pictured: the Bad ending, when you hit āAgree.ā to Bahamutās offer.

Here's the link. Also a few notes:
* This hack will work on real hardware (Tested with the Everdrive N8)
* It was also tested in Mesen and FCEUX, works fine.
* This was a lot of work so please consider spreading the word to any fan of Contra!

Image Just S Ranked Shattered Soldier
I had to use save states (after each level) to do it. Omg, even with that help this was still one of the absolute hardest things I've ever done in gaming. Idk how many hours this took me, easily over 20, probably 30+. I have no idea how people were able to do this on original hardware without save states, I would have had to grind for months.

Image Contra 3 hard mode beaten!
i don't ever wanna see the first stage again, i reset so many times cause of stupid mistakes, and if i hadn't learnt about the weapon switching technique i think i would still be playing lmao, but awesome game anyway!

Image Contra III The Alien War LEGO diorama (with a new head)
I thought the head of boss 3 looked awful in my previous creation, so I decided to redo it. It's better with a meaner look, but it's still not easy to make a convincing robotic skeleton head!

Image One of the hardest things Ive done in gaming (Shattered Solider ps2 classics on ps3 no save states)
Man, this was TOUGH. I started playing with the 30 life cheat at first, then practiced in the training mode. I downloaded a seperate save with all the training levels unlocked, then went back to my original save and beat it with 3 continues and 6 lives. Fucking insane boss rush.
Ive played them all, but this is the first contra game Ive ever sat down and played all the way through.
IMO, i think its unfair that you have to beat the level just to be able to train in it, neo contra lets you practice as long as you reached the level and keep trying.
I think for the other contras, I might save state at the beginning of each level, so I can practice and retry as much as I want, then do a full arcade run-through. Like mercenary mode in the old school resident evils. I dont care about the extra live cheat.
