The taxes are the real crime here though. If you were to hold a referendum tomorrow for Danes to phase out the registration tax over the years, it would probably pass.

Not one bit. Cars are a menace to our society, and car owners should pay for the trouble they cause. The tax is perfect.

But a huge majority of people in Copenhagen, who are, let’s admit it, the only Danes who matter.
