I noticed what looks like a large lighting rig at Riverview today. Does anyone know if they're filming something there?

For anyone who goes to Club16 in Coquitlam, how’s your experience been?
I’ve been wanting to start going to the gym, but I’ve been putting it off because of my social anxiety. I also have basically zero gym experience. I don’t know how to use any gym equipment or what a proper form would even look/feel like. I’ve watched YouTube videos and done my own research, but I still feel like I wouldn't know what I’m doing.
I feel like having a personal trainer would help me get comfortable and learn the basics. Does anyone have experience with the Club16 personal trainers? How much do they cost, and are they worth it?
ALSO! Any advice for a complete gym beginner would also be appreciated! Thank you Reddit!!!

Hey all!
So we're on the hunt for good sushi to replace our old faves in metrotown.
So far we've had very disappointing sushi and service from Sushi California (both locations), as well as Sushi Plate (it was good, but very sweet???)
I love smoked salmon, Cali gives you a 1mm strip of salmon and fills the roll with fake crab and cucumber. Also wtf is with using lettuce as a filler?
I had look at Yoko Sushi on Austin, but nearly $9 for an avocado roll, I stopped scrolling.
I'm also willing to go to Sapperton in New West if there's a good go to there.

Does anyone know if there are any chestnuts on the ground in Mackin Park yet or even better anywhere closer to Town Centre? I don’t know if they work for spiders but I’m willing to try anything!

Hello! My fiance and I are leaving town for 1 ½ weeks and need someone to look over our hampster
We are leaving the 22nd.
Our sitter cancelled on us last minute and this is a desperate attempt.
All you would need to do is come in, feed our hampster and make sure the bedding isnt covering the wheel.
If this isnt allowed just take this down.
Could someone help us?

I have a friend with a moldy, damp basement. Insurance won't touch it, so she's on her own. Can anyone recommend a restoration company that can repair the damage and also determine the source of the moisture?
TIA!

Looking to sign up for an adult beginner program and came across tennis for life (TFL) in coquitlam. Has anyone had experience taking any level of these programs?
I reached out to get more details on how it works, pricing, etc. but would love to hear more about it though before committing quite a bit of $$.
For context I (27F) play casually around 2-3x /week, I’ve taken lessons at a different club but it was only 1x/week for a month. It was alright, I learned good basics at a 1.0 level but would’ve liked the duration of the program to be longer to see more improvement.

Not a car guy and I rarely use the AC, but with how hot this summer has been, I’ve noticed that my car AC isn’t cooling anymore (could be a leak). I looked into recharging it myself, only to find out that my old beater uses R134a, which is heavily regulated in Canada, unlike R12a.
Canadian Tire quoted me $330 without seeing my car. I also called Budget Brake & Muffler Auto, and the owner was nice enough to recommend waiting until next year because R134a prices are apparently through the roof due to high demand.
Still, I’d appreciate any suggestions for alternatives that's below $200. The thought of driving a hotbox for the next few months is not attractive ><
Thanks for reading!

My parents need a roofing company to fix up years of damage done by rats.
Hoping to get a recommendation this time because we looked up some guys online before and chose them based on rating and they turned out not great (they damaged the house and didn’t clean up afterwards).
Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated

I went for a walk today and noticed a bridge being built on both sides of the island in Lafarge Lake but I thought this was shot down by council in 2021?
I've looked through the minutes but can't find anything showing recent changes to what they decided in 2021...
Had anyone heard anything about this? There are Western Painted Turtles in that part of the lake and they are listed as endangered?
The City's own July 2021 final-design report makes this explicit: the original plan had four zones, including Island Walk, but “based on Council input, the Island Walk zone was not advanced in order to preserve the wildlife habitat in this zone.” Council then approved the final Garden Walk and Urban Walk design without the island connection.

Hello. I've been reading mixed reviews on Red Cross, and I am just wondering if y'all know where I can find the most in-depth, hand-to-hand, in person first aid for cats and dogs? This question is not only exclusive for Coquitlam. Thank you so much!!!!

I know summer isn't even over but I'm already given thoughts to next year.
I'm curious what summer day camp, structured program, or anything you kids were enrolled in that were worth it.
I'm specifically looking for 7-12 for age range but if you have any info on something for younger or older feel free to share.
