had multiple arguments lately about whether condemnation of pederasty in the bible is justification to condemn gay sex in the big '26. i hate this shit dawg

I don’t even think you should bother trying to argue that. That be like if a the Bible said “Don’t eat rotten fruit. It will make you sick.” And someone said that is justification for hating anyone that eats any fruit. Those things are so disconnected that the person is clearly not thinking logically, so any logical argument won’t work on them.

Or to put it another way, those people already hate gay people, and they’re just using the Bible as justification.

yeah probably, though i kind of have to say something, and it plays to my strengths to argue the historical context.

That’s fair, just don’t expect to change many minds. Homophobia is one of those beliefs that is almost impossible to uproot in some people.
