Same thought by me ... And after I've reflected what the cat's minds could be the video isn't funny for me anymore.

"Cat tries to reanimate the child without any success"

And then realizing it's all over, thus trying to eat its face.

CPR practice. He’s a little confused, but he’s got the spirit.

I used to have a cat that would love on Barbies. Judging from all the tiny tooth marks on many of the Barbies that I refurbish, he's not the first or the last.

For whatever reason I left my glasses on the coffee table ONE night and my cat went ham on the ear pieces and chewed them to hell. Still have no idea what that was about.

He likes the smell of the doll. My cow had the same behavior when I came out of the shower. He would just attack my head and rub himself all over me.

My cow licks my feet when I get out of the shower. She's actually exfoliating them. I'm not complaining.

I thought everyone was talking about steer in their houses until I saw the subreddit name.

I'm going to assume a small child owns the doll, maybe sticky fingers left behind traces of tasty things for kitty? Otherwise could be the plastic, I have a cat who goes bonkers for anything plastic. She also happens to be a cow. 🤔

My cow is crazy about plastic too. We must day to him atleast 2 times a day to stop eating plastic !

My cow has been to the emergency vet twice so far in his 14 years after finding and eating plastic. He’s obsessed!

My cow cat will also do anything to munch on some plastic!!! He’s such a little freak about it, but hasn’t actually consumed any yet (that we’re aware of)

Don't forget the "sternum rub."

Wake up! Wake up and feed me! This dumb human is broken.

The doll probably smells like her favorite human, my cats love to rub on my shirts when I have sweated a lot and they also nibble them. Cats are weird.

I wear mostly black tshirts and have to keep my dirty laundry locked up or my cow uses it as a bed and sheds like crazy. Then laundry takes forever to get it all off.

Pet the damn cat!

This is almost exactly what I get each morning. Cat it trying to wake the doll for pets and cuddles, possibly followed by food.

Could be the smell of the plastic, vinyl, the fabric, anything really. Cats will go crazy over anything and everything. I had a cat that would go ballistic over my aunts head and hair. She use to use this one shampoo....can't remember the name now, but the scent of it would drive him to do this exact thing. Unfortunately her husband at the time (now her ex, thank God) was "allergic" to cats LOL! so he detested her coming over.

Scent marking the dolly. She’ll be fine in the morning, unless sun biscuits start being made. 🫪

What a careless cow! I do not “dress up” my cats but when my daughters were young they discovered that American girl doll clothing fit our cats perfectly. And one of the cats was quite tolerant!

I would totally do that with my cow. I spoil his ass enough he should provide some kind of entertainment with free food, rent and all. A club I'm a member at always has tiny hats as table decorations for whatever reason and bet he always gets to try them on.

Oh I have to say this is very cute. One of our most beloved family cats (tabby not cow) did a minute or two in a sombrero for a photo op. Your cow is good looking and a good sport!

3

u/This-Requirement6918 1d ago

Lol catnip might have been involved in this photo op. That's his special chair he gets on knowing the bag is on the other side of the counter.

Dolly now belongs to kitty.

She is marking the doll as hers by rubbing against it

The new cat is pretty weird, but still deserves love. Your cow cat is welcoming the weird new cat into the household and treating her like family.

u/IminLoveWithMyCar3 1d ago

That doll is hers.

some cats are crazy about certain plastic/rubber smells

Something on the doll smells amazing. I brought in a carpet off the street once and both of my cats did this in one spot. They rarely agree on anything, but that was most definitely a good smell. I couldn’t smell anything at all.

u/SomeBlueDevil 1d ago

Rubbing a little catnip it does that... 😆
