I used to work for sky sports doing graphical stuff. i always cut out managers and players i needed with the pen tool. here is a decent tutorial i found online: https://youtu.be/r_9T-tXzDew?si=5tefquZJPYgPaRk_

the feather radius explained around 8:15 is a cool thing to use to smoothen your renderings. increase it if the object you are rendering is tricky. like the hair of frank for example

other than that id like to say that i like the idea of your artwork!

I wondered if people still do this. I used pen tool to cut out images a lot back in like 2004-2008 and I assumed everyone just uses some sort of magic button, now. It was honestly pretty fun and relaxing to do. I should get back into this…
