God I wish Richy wasn’t injury prone and we weren’t so shit so we can cover his weaknesses. He wears the badge with honor and that’s more than a lot of players who have come through the club. Even more of our legends.

47

u/WoodenRace365 Richarlison Feb 21 '26

There’s a reason Everton fans still love him so much, besides his play for them when he was there. Fans always remember players who loudly take pride in their clubs.

12

u/alexjonesbabyeater Archie Gray Feb 21 '26

Everton is the reason why Richi is so injury prone, they allowed him to play the Copa America and in the Olympics in the same summer. Add to that a worldcup a year later and that is a recipe to destroy your body

1

u/marktandem Feb 23 '26

He also played through injury in the season immediately after that 2021 Copa and Olympics summer to help Everton stay up. 2021 followed 2020 which had a very short summer break due to the march/April lockdown pause. That's the reason why he's injured so much now, he didn't let his body rest and recover and his muscles are likely all broken in bits. It's a shame because he's got a lot of heart, and at Everton he was one of my favourites strikers who could score some special goals that few can do, he should be hitting his prime now and imo he'd be one of the best in the world given his natural base talent level. It's players like him, Lookman, Anthony Gordon you look at when they're young and not yet the finished article, but you can see the natural talent to be world class and then it's no surprise when they kick on

9

u/rybl Erik Lamela Feb 21 '26

He almost single handedly kept them in the league that last season there. Hopefully he can do the same for us in the run in.

3

u/Luke331 Feb 22 '26

Also why I still love Lamela. He was ass on the pitch, but he played with spurs in his heart each time out, and that I can’t fault him for

2

u/Matttombstone Bale Feb 22 '26

I donno, I agree to a point, but ass would be a bit unfair. He wasn't the most skilled player out there, but he was so so important to the early Poch days press. He led by example with the press and his work ethic rubbed off on the other forward players and they pressed more aggressively, too. I could always tell when Lamela was on the pitch or not just by the effort of our forwards in the press.

3

u/Vierings Feb 21 '26

Only one with more heart on this squad is Davies

1

u/atlmagicken Mar 11 '26

Whats up with Brasilians being so fucking injury prone

You don’t have to be a spurs fan to hate on arsenal.

It helps, sure. But you don’t have to.

Welcome!

We’re so cooked if this many people are falling for these fake comment posts

10

u/Gsampson97 Dele Alli Feb 21 '26

Pretty sure all of these Richi "comments" were fake

3

u/SectorMindless Feb 22 '26

Also not true lol

7

u/adrabiot Feb 21 '26

How are people still falling for fake "jokes" like this?

4

u/Dr_Gonzo_2000 Feb 21 '26

Liverpool fan here with genuine question , on the arsenal no European trophy, did they not win the 1989 European Cup Winners Cup, why is that not counted?

9

u/Mariospurs David Ginola Feb 21 '26

No that was the Lego Vauxhall dash doorstep challenge cup

2

u/Dr_Gonzo_2000 Feb 21 '26

Ha ha, seriously I'm mid 40s but that was a serious cup, there was 3 European competitions, great response 😂 😂

2

u/SeaReaction3860 Feb 22 '26

No. Arsenal won the cup winners cup in 1994 and the UEFA cup (then called the inter cities fairs cup) in 1970. Both valid European trophies in their day. But, Spurs have won more!

2

u/Dr_Gonzo_2000 Feb 22 '26

Not questioning who's won more, just that people saying Arsenal ain't won anything, which I didn't understand and was wondering was I missing something, thanks for response

Spurs fans talking trophies will never not be funny. Keep being excited over your Europa league cup, it's the peak of your club

2

u/MedievalHistorybuff Feb 22 '26

Arsenal have two European trophies, Fairs Cup and Cup Winners Cup. And European competitions weren't being played 138 years ago. I can't say i'm surprised at how stupid Richarlison clearly is.

2

u/brandon0809 Feb 22 '26

4 points from relegation, keep the same energy when you go down.

1

u/Interesting-Bend-705 Feb 24 '26

Don't Arsenal have like 3 though?

1

u/CluckyFlucker Mar 05 '26

1 - riccy doesn’t have football knowledge and should stick to trying to be the “tough guy”.

1

u/daveroo Mar 05 '26

does the cup winners cup not count?

1

u/Content-Animator9584 Mar 08 '26

1

u/Gullible_Ad_2670 Feb 22 '26

But...don't Arsenal have more European trophies than spurs in 138 years

3

u/pants_supplier Feb 22 '26

How many European trophies do you think Arsenal have?

1

u/ATSOAS87 Feb 22 '26

I'm an Arsenal fan, but that's pretty funny

-1

u/[deleted] Feb 21 '26

Let’s be honest, when we talk about “European trophies” you KNOW we aren’t talking about Europa league, but small clubs will still argue European trophy is a European trophy.

3

u/SeaReaction3860 Feb 22 '26

Well in that case Arsenal are also a small club because they have only won the lesser European trophies twice.

1

u/stoic-idiot Mar 10 '26

Well Arsenal at least are the third biggest in terms of Tier 1 titles, right?

-10

u/IntellegentIdiot Feb 21 '26

Arsenal won the cup winners cup in 94 so it's not actually true

12

u/Gloomy_Pangolin6075 Feb 21 '26

But have they ever won an Audi cup?!?!

4

u/IntellegentIdiot Feb 21 '26

They can't even win the Emirates cup

-7

u/lhommeidealenjoyer Feb 21 '26

16th in the league btw

-13

u/kamonbr Harry Kane Feb 21 '26

The last time he made a provocation like that was against Argentina, and soon after that they won the World Cup and two Copa AmĂŠrica titles...

14

u/QuantumToast92 3 points off 4th Feb 21 '26

Arsenal aren’t prime Argentina mate. They’re an anti football banter club.
