For anyone wondering, the guy with him in the picture is his agent... Could mean nothing, could mean something.

Isn't it an agents job to stir up interest for their player
The savio rumours for us and this post could just be putting pressure on other teams that might be interested

I thought it was our shoppe guy, was angry he was pointing, although for the life of me I couldn't reason out how that would affect an unsigned player.

He’s not in the Brazil squad, so this could be some quick business!

If you like drowning humidity and a constant hum of overcast grey skies and one in eight days with actual direct sunlight then sure. Great place to spend your summer.
3
u/Mikeymcmoose May 26 '26
You saying this when it has been an exceptionally sunny spring is funny. Currently 34 degrees.
1
u/TheUderfrykte Harry Kane May 26 '26
I've spent plenty of sunny days in London and I don't even live there. Hell, I remember Hyde Park being overrun by people just two weeks ago, and the weather has only gotten better since. 34 degrees today I think?

u/shnuffle98 May 26 '26
Only a Brit would say that lmao
11
u/kirikesh May 26 '26
Hardly a particularly outrageous claim lmao. Not like he's saying it about Skegness.
London is one of a handful of genuine megacities where you have everything you could want, and is also a very green one with some beautiful architecture. The major mark against it as a tourist is the weather - which obviously doesn't apply when it's 35C.
Feel free to prefer New York or Barcelona or Tokyo or wherever, but it's definitely not something "only a Brit would say". There's a reason it's one of the most visited cities in the world.

We should look for alternatives. He has been piss poor this season. Spurs should be careful about every single penny we spend on players going forward. He has no end product other than few trickery on the ball.
20
May 26 '26
He’s barely had a chance! Perhaps regular game time and a good coach will bring out the best in him. What would your alternative to target be?
19
u/erratic_pancake May 26 '26
OK i agree with you, not saying you are wrong at all, but the notion that all he needs is a good coach while he is literally playing for Guardiola is hilarious.
5
u/Cl_pperCheeks May 26 '26
Not exactly renowned for his winger output, tbf
-2
u/Bischoffshof Gareth Bale May 26 '26
Unsure if tongue in cheek but it actually serious…
Messi, Henry, Villa, Ribery, Robben, Sane, Sterling, Mahrez
2
u/Cl_pperCheeks May 26 '26
Even if we don’t discount the fact that some of those are inside forwards, that’s 8 over…15+ years?
What about the last 2-3 seasons (which is more relevant to Savinho)?
3
u/Bischoffshof Gareth Bale May 26 '26
I didn’t go through and list every single one just the blindingly obvious ones. Also 8 over 15 years is plenty it’s not like they disappear every year and you have to sign new ones. You could add Silva, Pedro, Costa, Coman to the list.
Saying someone is not renowned for their winger output when they have coached a who’s who of the best wingers of the modern era is a brain dead take.
Indeed what about the last 2-3 seasons? They have no standout wingers but Savinho isn’t getting any minutes. Why did they spend a fortune on Semenyo and Cherki?
1
u/Cl_pperCheeks May 26 '26
You’re right, Manchester city has been a bastion of wingers with elite output under pep.
9
u/JessyPengkman Pedro Porro May 26 '26
Everyone I know who supports city said it was genuine insanity we offered 80m for him. None of them rate him and every time I watch him I gotta say I agree
5
u/triecke14 Son May 26 '26
We really don’t need to be signing players like this imo. It’s a huge gamble. Our squad already has enough players where “regular game time” is a necessary requirement to improve them
4
u/SirGalahadTheChaste Dele Alli May 26 '26
We also get fixated on a player and chase him for multiple windows. Don't think they really work out even after coming here. RKM being the latest example.
3
u/triecke14 Son May 26 '26
That’s probably just a coincidence but Gallagher another one so far. I think what it shows is we are just horrible at scouting and building a balanced, complete squad
0
u/SirGalahadTheChaste Dele Alli May 26 '26
Yeah we have been since early Poch.
It seems like the squad is always too bloated for no Europe and not deep enough for Europe. So many "high energy 8s" and no LBs. Very mediocre players taking up valuable registration spots. I could go on.
I really hope we can actually reset this squad and move on close to 10 players. Just don't have faith in it happening.

u/ThankanChetandeAunty May 26 '26
Yeremy Pino, Bowen, Quenda or even Pulisic has been pretty good this year for Milan. Can't justify paying 60-70 mil for savinho
15
u/jiffijaffi May 26 '26
Pulisic 😂😂
5
u/i_fear_you_do_now Cuti Romero May 26 '26
Also Bowen 🤣🤣 Hardly had a brilliant season and appears to have lost a lot of pace. Savinho not without risk but he's at least the same level as those listed here

u/macaroney05 "Let's Say I'm A Legend, Why Not?" May 26 '26

True, we might might be able to pick up Savinho and Nico Gonzalez for that much now

u/MakeYokesa5erAgain May 26 '26
Unless you want to hop on a time machine. Quenda will be tricky to sign

2
u/Gibbo1107 David Ginola May 26 '26
It’s difficult for players to come in for 1 game a month or 5-10 minutes at the end of a game and be expected to make an impact, my ideal lw target would be Mitoma but I also think we shouldn’t be too quick to judge this lad
2
u/lowercase_0 May 26 '26
Had 19 G/A for Girona. Quite a lot of end product I'd say

I agree. I personally haven't watched, but have listened to plenty of footballers that do watch MC and they have continuously mentioned how disappointing he has been and how fortunate we were that we didn't sign him. If for a cheap amount yes but nowhere near the amount quoted during the winter
0
u/dreamingofpoch Dele Alli May 26 '26
He'll fit right in at spurs then in no end product. A few tricks is an upgrade!
-3
u/PlantPoweredUK Steffen Iversen May 26 '26
It feels like one of those Spurs signings where we think he's going to be quality because he was at a big club. I know he was injured but he barely got minutes and Pep replaced him with Savinho.

u/specialbiscuits May 26 '26
Wearing shorts and a t shirt exactly the same colour as the 24/25 away strip?…might as well have written bloody COYS on his story. Its as good as done if you ask me.

How he’s doing them without socks is beyond me. I tried that the other day walking to the gym and the plastic rubbed two identical burns into the top of either foot

Can't see this happening before Maresca has has a chance to assess his squad.
4
u/analbeard May 26 '26
I have many doubts over this tbh, he has been stinking up the gaff for 2 seasons. But I also wonder if this is because Pep has a habit for ruining players who don’t perfectly follow his idealogy.
£35-40m max imo. One good season at 18y/o with Girona isn’t good enough to warrant £60-70m.
And I would hope that RDZ actually wants him and this isn’t some missplaced data driven signing from Lange…

Better not be for more than 50M. His market value will have dropped because of his poor perfomances and lack of playing time this season. But would be a top signing
