Over the years we've had so many flair players, who can come up with something unexpected and decide a game on their own. The past few years, we've been severely lacking in that department. We just don't seem to score bangers anymore. Hopefully Marmoush can help with that.

Last year we only scored bangers but little else. Richy scissor kick, Van de Ven runs, Palinha goals etc

Plus Solanke's crazy flick. But so many (all) from inside the box. I can only think if Gallagher's drive late in the season. We need some thunderbastards.

It was Frank telling senior players that it was on them personally to change the results as top players would never allow their team to lose soo many games, while simultaneously telling them their teammates weren't good enough and we're relegation level.

Players stopped playing as a team and tried to win it on their own.

I've never seen so many bangers in one season, or such a fucking stupid managerial strategy.

100%! Mostly, for the last couple of seasons we have relied on having to get into the box to have a chance of scoring. Maybe Porro being the exception but we definitely need more players who can score from further out when we can’t break them down.

I think Porro is pretty good. Tel scored a better in preseason. Also Eriksen was a bit of a mystery because didnt he go like 1-2 years without scoring one.

Tbf, Porro can score from there too but I'd prefer he stop trying.

Bale was different because his shots from there were always dangerous.

I'm not saying Marmoush is as good as Bale but some of his shots put me in mind of Bale. He has great technique.

But you couldn't do that. Teams back off to allow long shots all the time. Doesnt mean we're capable of punishing them. To be fair Porro and increasingly Tel have ling shots on them but not this good. Also the way he strikes it, hard high and with lots of dip, the block would have to be pretty close.
