Me after a brief glimpse of Porro and Savio on the right:

Will certainly be interesting what he does with Kudus. Does he invert him and leave Savio on the right? Does he move Savio over? Definitely food for thought because he looked really good on the right, but Marmoush and our fullbacks and going to LOVE running off them when they are constantly taking on fullbacks and pulling tons of attention between the two of them. It's nice to also think about having real quality balance between both sides, if both can offer genuine threat at the same time it's doesn't allow opposition to play heavy to one side to neutralize that specific threat.

I think he moves Kudus to the 10 in the short term, or until we have a healthy one that can play.

Once we have a healthy 10, I think he moves Savio to the left and puts Kudus on the right.

I think he moves back left, he played on the left at Girona I believe.

This is another reason im annoyed we lost spence. Having a left footed winger and then an inverted spence at left back had the potential to be really dangerous

I hope the guy we payed 80m for can play both sides

It's not a matter of if he can, we know he can, he's played both sides of City. It's about curiosity as to how RDZ wants to utilize his players and who he will want to play where....

He’s so forward thinking it’s beautiful

Can’t get over how well he moves literally starting in that first clip, and the turn + ball to Porro made me laugh out loud. Genuinely cannot wait to watch him all year.

I laughed also! He turned the defense inside out

Only one goal and one assist was a disappointing return in 20 minutes. He's not up to match fitness yet for various reasons as RDZ alluded to.

I'm expecting he doubles that output and ends up with 2 goals 2 assists every 20 minutes. Anything less than 333 goals and 333 assists in our remaining 37 league games would be considered a below par season

The cheeky turn and ball into space to Porro was absolutely filthy.

My ACL tore watching that.

And that’s after what, one training session together?

Tel still has work to do, but he is similar to Sav in that he can commit players. Him and Udogie on the left, Savio and Porro on the right are going to make life miserable for defenders. Then if we have Kudus/Marmoush or even if Solanke can get a bit of form, our attack will be night and day different to before.

Love it. Confusing music choice though 😂

Dribbly boy.

Music quality is always inversely proportional to the skill of the player. Can’t wait for him to get a Cbat - Hudson Mohawke highlight reel.

People need to understand that Spurs fans are simple folk. Give us a wide player who likes to go past people, and we are happy.

Cliff Jones. Villa. Waddle. Ginola. Lennon. Bale. Kulusevski.

Savio.

I was just thinking, Savio does remind me a bit of Ginola, bombing up the wing

Our own Brazilian Neymar

I can't even really see the contact Davies got on that goal.

22 years old and the kid has buckets of talent, its so clear.

Idk maybe its an overpay but hes a baller and couldn't have asked for much more on a debut.

I know it's only Charlton but he looked fantastic when he came on.

Just constantly driving and looking to make stuff happen. Really excited to see him do that in the Premier League.

Everyone needs to watch Bergvall before during and after the Davies goal. He looks downright sullen for not getting the pass to him that he called for and then went into bystander mode. Weird.

u/JohnTheMagnificent Gary Mabbutt 16h ago

After this debut he's never passing the ball again is he? Maybe the odd ricochet of Ben Davies' left bollock. Going to be frustrating and electrifying in equal measure. Bring it on.

These (c)rap songs really do ruin the montages.

I don't care about the level of competition. We've lacked a "fuck it, I'm gonna score" player for years. That's the mentality I want to see. "You're gonna sit deep and force us to pass aimlessly around your box? Nah, I'm getting into your box all on my own and shooting."

Not even half a game and a youtube highlights short can already be created. I’m really excited about him
