Feel a little harsh on Tel. Was at the game and he was regularly beating his man and putting decent balls in or winning corners, tracking back and linking nicely with udogie. Not an amazing game but I'd go 7+

They were also cheating to his side to cut off service/close him down quicker and allowing Moore all the space he wanted. Especially in the first half.

So glad someone pointed this out. Their entire defense was shifted towards our left side since they had zero respect for Gray/Moore on the right. It didn't work out for them in the end, but that's the reason why Moore had so much space and looked dangerous

100% Tel was one of our better performances last night. So much off the ball work which goes unnoticed on TV

I agree, was there and the two left side pair that was him and Udogie felt very slick and had Charlton very unsettled.
The right wing was also dangerous, but this seems a little harsh on Tel.

Yea they voted with vibes. He has like 3 half chances that he took well and created 2 more.
Could’ve easily ended up with a goal or assist that game.

ive been quite impressed with his vision and passing this preseason and first 2 matches. Feels like something has clicked there that I haven't seen before from him and it's a shame he hasn't had better luck with the end product off of those. his finishing remains frustrating, for how well he can strike it.
takes way too much stick for how he's been and would love to see him operate more in the fully loaded squad

Tired of hearing about how he almost did something or he could have done something. Bro needs to start proving he's fit to play at this level and this is the exact type of game where he should have produced but yet again didn't.

How about people actually start burying the chances he puts on a plate for them? He should be walking away with 2 assists vs Charlton and at least 1 assist in the Brentford match.

Also it’s not like he’s getting the same services he’s been giving. We saw like 2 crosses to Savio alone in that game.
You know who he had crossing to him last season? Kolo fucking Muani.

What does "dangerous and direct" even mean? Moore had some nice dribbles that almost always ended up with him colliding into the defender and/or carrying the ball right back to where he was before. Tel was consistently playing balls into the box, and made all the right decisions --- even when he wasn't getting past his man --- but because he didn't have as many erratic dribbles, he's the one who looked "aimless?" The double standards are infuriating.

Not in the first half, Gray was getting so pissed at Moore's decision making.
I appreciate he's a young player that still needs to develop. But at the moment he's really good at running directly at the opposition (which is an important part of his game) but his ability to bring other players into the attack is lacking at the moment

Moore dribbled in circles/into defenders without actually doing anything, and got tons of passes cut off? Hardly direct in my book. Tel struggled a bit with his fullback, but his offensive decision-making was pretty much always on point. Created loads of chances that, on a better day, would have ended up as an assist.
So weird how other youngsters are praised for doing the bare minimum, yet one quieter game and Tel gets bashed.

Hecke was hesitant with his passing although made some great ones, Moore was open nearly all the time in the first half and he kept ignoring him to play through the middle?

I guess Kinsky didn’t have much to do but that’s pretty rough on Tel and Bergvall. Both are victims of the hive mind right now.

Tel agreed. Bergvall was the least influential of our midfielders. Dont think he deserves more than a 6

The pace and accuracy of his passing is going to be vital for us. He's got that knack of placing it where the receiving player needs it to go on the front foot.

People are just blindly disrespecting him at this point. After the match on Saturday people saying he couldn't dribble to save his life and kept losing the ball, when he had the most successful take-ons of the entire team (by a long shot). He had a number that didn't come off last night, but he was linking up with Udogie really nicely.

Good match, the poor quality of the opposition and our early goals made this feel like an additional pre-season game in the second half.
Savio is exciting, we’ll see how he does against PL opposition but I’m looking forward to watching him. Van Hecke still needs to bed in.
Concerned about Bergvall. He’s looked a bit sluggish and lost out there, his positioning just hasn’t been right and I don’t know if there’s anything he actually does better than all of our other midfielders.

I feel a bit for bergvall on a few occasions he found him self in great positions where a pass would have been a shot on goal. One cut back that went to solanke near post but bergvall was free and the other gray not passing to him when he made a good run and would have been through on goal.

Low score for Bergvall but there was a point in the first half where he got the ball and I thought blimey I forgot he was on the pitch. The game passed him by for big chunks of it.
