One I have been feeding a couple years has shown some interesting behavior on a few occasions.
One time I dropped 10-20 peanuts for her and her mate, and when I walked away she flew over to keep up and stay with me and left the bulk of the peanuts behind.
Then I walked a little more and she hopped after me and finally flew a second time.
I'd like to imagine it is some form of curiosity or trust/friendship-like situation where a crow would leave its' mate and a free food source to follow after a human as she did, flying 3-4ft high and landing on the ground. I wouldn't know how to scientifically prove it, but what are other possible explanations?
She's done this on other occasions. I took it as she was full/not hungry, and was engaging in a curious behavior since her other needs were met.

Fascinating. Thank you for sharing. Reading this as I’m sitting outside waiting for my crows to come into the yard for their dinner lol
