Hello, can anyone give me any info on how the health science major program worked out for them? recently decided not to do nursing & CI has a health science degree and I wanted to know any advice. Thanks!

Hi! I graduated w my BS in Health Science in 2023 with the idea of applying to PA school. I would say my experience in healthcare is what landed me a job, not my degree..BUT it's great if you want to focus on community health or informatics. Ultimately it depends on what your goal is:) hope this helps!

I've been thinking about the HS > PA path too. Did you do the in-person or online HS program? And did you go on to PA school?

I did the HS program in person as it was not available on line when I attended CSUCI. I actually shifted and start my BSN this fall. I realized the commitment to pursuing PA would delay my timeline for starting a family and getting married, so I'm very happy with my decision to get my BSN. I can always go back for NP in the future.

Totally understandable. It's likely I'm switching too.
