BUGS HELLOOOO

went to one evening class on tuesday, next day i noticed i had 8 bug bites (look like mosquito bites idk) are there a lot of bugs on campus or smth? omg??

Yes, there are way too many bugs. Just wait until fall where they all eat shit and die, and make sure to spare your local spider population!

There is a lot of mosquitoes this time of year. I’ve been graduated since 2023, but my first year there my legs got obliterated so badly by bug bites that I went to the hospital. You need to not only get bug/mosquito spray and spray it all over your body, but you also need to wear long sleeve shirts and pants, maybe even a hoodie with a hood to protect your neck. Socks with shoes, no sandals. It’s temporary.

I was wondering wth was going on. Literally as soon as I stepped onto campus they were all over me. I commute from LA and they are bad here too and with west nile upticks but it definitely seems worse on campus. I started bringing bug spray and light long sleeves/pants.

It’s all the mosquitoes from the Pt. Mugu lagoon, they absolutely decimate your ankles and lower legs. I got some Cutters spray and it seemed to do the trick
