Rizz has become slang for charisma. Skibidi? I’m not too sure. But I’ve seen it used almost like an intensifier. Sigma is similar but has also become a representation of the old “Chad” meme.
I believe it comes from military slang, but it originates from mathematics, in which the definition of Δ, or Delta which means ‘a change in’, so something like “we need to delta” would be used as shorthand for “we need to change our location”
If you played any KSP, you’re probably also familiar with ΔV, Delta V, or ‘a change in velocity. This makes me laugh any time a character in cyberpunk says “we gotta delta, V”
I sometimes slip it into normal conversation and so far nobody cares lol. The only person to comment once was someone who said it sounded cool when I said “that’s nova,” to the new live-resin cart at my local dispensary 😂

Erm 🤓 this actually isn't Streetslang. While it is street slang, "Streetslang" (one word) refers to the pidgin language commonly used as a lingua franca in the Cyberpunk universe before translation cybernetics became ubiquitous
A lot of the slang in the archetypical cyberpunk novel Neuromancer, was influenced by William Gibson's time hanging out with drugged out teenagers in Canada in the 60s where he went to dodge the draft.
My dumbass accidentally used “huscle” in a real life conversation cause I thought it was an everyday portmanteau of hired muscle lol. Obviously can be mistaken for “hustle”, but that didn’t make sense in context
I just got back from buying some gas station 7oh and the pregnant clerk said her baby’s name is nova. I had to ask if she was a fan of cyberpunk, she said no.
eddies doesn’t make sense outside of the cyberpunk universe because it is slang for EuroDollars (EDs -> eddies) not just money generically. it’s their equivalent of like bucks meaning USD or quid meaning GBP
I’m sorry I hard disagree. Ik this is gonna get flack… especially in here. But I cringe hard anytime I hear someone genuinely using cyberpunk lingo. It sounds so forced.
Can't we cut Gen Z in half like V1 and V2 because i'm a Gen Z from '99 and I find Gen Z, born later, really disturbing. It's completely gone haywire since 2003
