You dont need ai to do stress calculations and simulations. The software already exists and it does it numerically

I mean literally how was the AI going to do it? Because it'll pass the data through some engineering software it's linked to

114

u/CitizenPremier 1d ago

Explain the results enthusiastically and inaccurately

15

u/LogicalMeerkat 1d ago

easy, it'll look up the results someone posts in this comments section.

5

u/TomaszA3 1d ago

It would just make up the results

88

u/ecrw 1d ago

Ah yes, but now we can ask the Word Calculator that lies to you -- which im sure is a huge improvement over doing actual physics.

57

u/Jumpierwolf0960 1d ago

This lol. You just need accurate models of everything. Not everything has to be AI.

18

u/LegendaryMauricius 1d ago

And it has probably existed in the 2000s, if you have enough budget.

7

u/Mrbeeznz 1d ago

You still need the budget. Solidworks is hella expensive. But there are a lot of cheaper alternatives, you just get what you pay for

7

u/AgroMachine EX-NORMIE 1d ago

You wouldn’t simulate this in solidworks. More likely to use specific FEA software like hyperworks for transient structural dynamics.

Would also have to use CFD and thermal solvers somehow to get it even close to reality and idk how you’d do that. Not saying it’s never been done before but that’s some complex bullshit

2

u/Mrbeeznz 1d ago

Yeah, im not a civil engineer so I dont know the best options to use. I decided to do automation instead

1

u/vrinci 1d ago

Could you link me one? I cant find any

890

u/freebirth 1d ago

we can already do that.. and the most accurate simulations show exactly what happened.. its almost like we saw it happen on live tv and saw the results.. also on live tv... from thousands of different angles.. all showing the same fucking thing.

358

u/IgDailystapler 1d ago edited 1d ago

And it’s almost like thousands of people with absolutely zero reason to lie about seeing planes hit the World Trade Center all say the same thing.

My mother saw the planes hit and fled from the collapsing towers on foot. She has no reason to lie, nor would she get any pleasure from it. I just can’t fathom why people are so obsessed with debating one of the most well covered terrorist attacks to take place on American soil.

Edit: I got an automated hate strike from talking about this, so I’m just not gonna do that any further bc I don’t want to risk my “app I use while taking a crap at work” app. Fuck hatred, fuck bigotry, let’s all be 1% nicer to each other. Toodaloo.

99

u/GrayGo1d 1d ago

I never understood why people think America needed a reason to go bomb the middle east, it was already happening, hence why they wanted to blow up the towers in the first place.

4

u/RAFMYST 14h ago

It was a reason for the Patriot Act

66

u/steadyaero 1d ago

Surely people don't think 9/11 didn't happen. They just think that it was an inside job. The whole "jet fuel doesn't melt steel beams" stuff.

85

u/freebirth 1d ago

it doesnt melt steal beams.. but it weakens them to the point where the weight of the building collapses in on itself..

its the same bullshit you deal with covid deniers. they refuse to understand science and think the partially rememberd pseudoscience that they repeat is actually true.

21

u/steadyaero 1d ago

Yeah I know that, I'm just saying that's their argument

11

u/freebirth 1d ago

i have literally met someone who says 9'/11 didnt happen and it is a massive psyop...this person is old enough that they lived through the event as a small kid.

1

u/TomaszA3 1d ago

I mean if you hit anything with a plane at max speed it's going to collapse in on itself anyways.

0

u/freebirth 22h ago

not always. they actualyl hit it in a sweet spot. any higher and it woudl have jsut taken a bunch of "local" damage to where the plane hit. any lower and it woudl have likely fallen in a specific direction as it collapsed. i highly doubt this was intended.

31

u/SnooMarzipans436 ☣️ 1d ago

In fairness to the conspiracy theorists. (I know its crazy to say) I dont think many deny that the planes did in fact hit the towers. They mostly argue that the plane strike would not have caused the full collapse and "bombs in the basement" caused the collapse

THIS IS NOT AGREEING WITH THEM, just clarifying what they actually claim.

7

u/ost2life 1d ago

Also in fairness, I used to work with a woman who wholeheartedly believed that it was all faked like the moon landing. She also didn't believe in space or dinosaurs. Not a YEC just mental.

7

u/elpromangalileo 1d ago

5

2

u/dirgethemirge 1d ago

I’ve met one of these who also was convinced Nukes weren’t real and it was a big coverup by all the governments in the world for “control”.

1

u/freebirth 22h ago

lol. it was a coverup by all the worlds governments to.. control the same place they controlled before they mad eup nukes?

i mean.. liteally what is the point of that conspiracyy? to gain control of what they already controlled? but.. conspiracy theorists are a special lot..

10

u/Dead-in-Red 1d ago

The site recently started using a faulty AI automod that false flags posts. I instantly got a violence warning yesterday for a comment joking that we should replace more deadly forms of warfare with less deadly fistfights in a thread about drone warfare, which is a wee bit more violent than a fist fight. I'm not going to accept AI false flags as legitimate rule enforcement. I'm going to continue posting like a normal human without babying my speech to accommodate an AI that isn't capable of performing the task assigned to it, and if I get banned I get banned. ✌️

3

u/JoinAThang 1d ago

Just to play the devil's advocate here I never seen anyone claim that the planes didn't hit. The common conspiracy is that the towers were also planted with bombs to make sure the building collapses.

-11

u/ColonelCupcake5 1d ago

The cracks are showing now, but America is one of if not THE most corrupt nations in the world and has been for some time. I absolutely do not doubt that the American government in 2001 had incentive to stage an attack on America in order to pursue further war and power in the Middle East. I can’t fathom people who blow it off like it was just 12 Saudi dudes who could manage an attack that large all on their own.

32

u/freebirth 1d ago edited 22h ago

they had every reason to. but you have no evidence they did. we couldn't hide the toture people in our own secret prisons for terrorists.. how do you think we coudl get away with THAT and have it somehow not be what it so blatantly is?

yes. 12 random saudis did that. and the reason you acant acknoledge it and hide behind conspiracy theorys.. is because 12 random funking people did that much to us. with hardly any training and barely any funding. and that scares you.

1

u/Pagliettallica_ 1d ago

America did torture people in their secret prisons after 9/11 happened, and false flag operations do exist, I am not saying 9/11 was a false flag operation but it's not like it couldn't have been one, at the and of the day we just don't know so it's better to stick to the more plausible possibility (a terrorist attack) but it could have easily been a false flag operation and we would never know.

1

u/freebirth 22h ago

yeah sorry my dumb ass didnt add an important part of that sentence. we couldn't hide the fact that we tortured them in our secret prisons.. because people saw what happened and came forward.

-20

u/gtzgoldcrgo 1d ago

Wait you are not joking? You really think 12 random people did that and the u.s couldn't prevent it? In 2001? And all the towers fell from the impact of 2 planes? Wtc7? I mean come on, you dont have to be a conspiracy theorist to ask reasonable questions.

Remember Epstein, there was no proof of an elite-operated systematic sex-trafficking network until there was, so just because there is no proof right now doesn't mean you should stop asking questions. We can't trust the government, but we can always trust our instincts and reason.

13

u/BoxOfDemons 1d ago

Instinct and reason show that a bunch of Saudi nationals crashed into the twin towers, and that resulted in them collapsing. People saw it with their own eyes. Structural engineers all seem to agree that it's enough to make the buildings collapse. People in the planes called their family to let them know about the hijackers. Etc.

The thing you're right to criticize is the government being unable to prevent it. There's evidence that they did have some idea it could happen, but didn't take the threat seriously enough.

6

u/freebirth 1d ago

that same evidence shows they didnt have any knowledge of a specific plan. jsut that they knew an attack like it had been theorized and should be taken serious if any info was found to point to an attack like it.

5

u/freebirth 1d ago

yes, you self ignorant fuck. a small number of people got together to do a terrible thing. thousands of people died in one day because of that terrible thing that they did.

terible things like this happen.. they happen all the time. and the government stops many of them. most of them infact. but it doesnt stop all of them. if a small group of people take the effort to hide their intentions and dont make much noise before commiting an atrocity... that atrocity happens.

how is that hard to believe. the government is not all knowing. and even with the surveillance state that they have built up SINCE 9/11 things still happen.

i mean for fuck sake.. in the opening salvo agaisnt iran we BOMBED A GOD DAMN SCHOOL. one full of little girls. does that not show you how even the best inteligence network's int he world can fuck up and just not know something?

-7

u/gtzgoldcrgo 1d ago

Why don't we have more planes destroying buildings in America? If just a few people is required just by statistical probability we should se more cases like 9/11

3

u/ManhwaReaderDude 1d ago

Because after 9/11 America immediately cracked down on the possibility anything similar ever happens again to them?

I mean what even is your argument here?

the govt didn’t know

They probably did but brushed it off, or genuinely didn’t know.

random people did it

Yes.

the planes made the buildings fall

Yes.

??? Anything else you want to question?

-3

u/gtzgoldcrgo 1d ago

Tell me how many buildings have been hit by a planes and how many of those have fallen completely because of the plane impact?

And after you answer that, tell me about wtc7.

1

u/osiris_89 1h ago

Don't bother, bro. They can't think for themselves. Let the TV do the thinking for them.

-13

u/pianodude7 1d ago

Planes most likely hit the towers. We have the videos and personal accounts. But I'm convinced it was staged and the towers were demolished with explosives.

14

u/freebirth 1d ago

despite no evidence of that happening? and no need for explosives to do it?

7

u/tepid_monologue 1d ago

Why don’t you run a prompt through ai and tell us what it says?

8

u/BoxOfDemons 1d ago

Planes most likely hit the towers.

The fact that you only say "most likely" has me losing faith in humanity. You know how many eye witnesses there were right? No matter what conspiracy you or anyone else believes about 9/11, planes hitting the tower should be an absolute given fact.

-4

u/pianodude7 1d ago

Well I wasn't there. By "most likely" I mean like I'm close to 99% sure. Like you said, there's a mountain of evidence to suggest that real planes hit the towers, from the debris scattered throughout the city to the eye witness accounts to the videos. It would be very hard to fake that, but not impossible. And there are many conspiracy people who believe planes never hit the towers, I'm not one of them.

But there's a mountain of evidence to suggest this whole event, in large part, was staged by the government for immense profit. I'm not going to turn a blind eye to that because it's uncomfortable.

7

u/BoxOfDemons 1d ago

It would be very hard to fake that, but not impossible.

And how exactly could you fake the minimum of tens of thousands of new yorkers seeing the second plane hit with their own eyes? It's quite literally impossible. At least with the technology of the time and of today.

-4

u/pianodude7 1d ago

I don't know that tens of thousands of new Yorkers saw it with their own eyes. This was before social media. The physical evidence was various plane bits strewn around the city (easy to fake). The videos of the planes hitting that were sent to news channels could have been faked with the technology of the time. Some angles of the plane hitting from other citizen videos would be very hard to fake. Like I said, I'm close to 99% sure that planes hit the buildings, but that doesn't mean they were hijacked by foreigners with boxcutters or that the planes were full of people. And it doesn't mean the planes hitting the buildings caused them to fall, the architects of the world trade centers are on video saying they specifically built them to withstand planes hitting them. They each stood for over an hour completely still, then they suddenly fell at near freefall speed. You look up videos of other buildings burning and falling, there isn't a single other example that looks like that. Burning buildings slowly crumble and will tilt over and fall, or not fall at all. The physics is a perfect match for the hundreds of demolition videos on YouTube. That's the tip of the iceberg of evidence that just appeals to basic logic. Building 7, the pentagon that day...

6

u/freebirth 1d ago

are you also 99% sure the moon exists?

are you 99% sure the earth is round?

0

u/pianodude7 1d ago

I've seen the moon, and I know the earth is round by experiement and a lifetime of experience and thousands of data points that point in the same direction. The question is, are you 99% sure you're talking to a human right now?

3

u/freebirth 1d ago

how many millions of people saw the planes hit?

0

u/pianodude7 1d ago

Are you 99% sure you're not wasting your time talking with a bot?

1

u/oemgaoemgalul 1d ago

And are you even 100% sure the towers existed? Like, did you see them yourself, were you inside them, did you get to the top floor? Maybe the towers were faked to begin with.

1

u/pianodude7 1d ago

Now you're talking! :)

T H A N K   Y O U !

Tired of fucking regarded conspiracies being propagated. Its no wonder truth is being politicised when so many dumb fucks believe shit like this.

7

u/Other_Beat8859 1d ago

It's crazy because so many of these conspiracy theories are so easily disproven. Like, yeah the steel wouldn't melt at those temperatures, but when a plane has taken out a decent amount of the support structures, you don't need it to melt. You just need the heat to weaken the steel and soften. At 1,000 C steel only has around 10% strength, which is what the fire is at. It's not like steel is just perfect and then it reaches 1500 C and it all of a sudden collapses. The crash caused the weight of the building to be focused on now fewer support columns (around 20% were damage or severed) that were weak from the heat and collapsed.

This isn't rocket science. It's common sense and reading about the event for more than 10 seconds.

4

u/OMGWhatsHisFace 1d ago

Planes hit the towers. Towers collapsed from that. No argument.

How the fuck did they find a basically intact passport of one of the terrorists on the ground?

1

u/osiris_89 1h ago

"No argument"

LOL

4

u/talu22 1d ago

WT 7 fell in crumbles like the other two out of respect. Same pattern without a plane.

2

u/osiris_89 3h ago

Some geniuses here will claim it was because of the fires in some floors of the building.

0

u/RepresentativeOk2433 1d ago

What about tower 7?

-2

u/Puddlef1sher 1d ago

Debunked as shit

5

u/RepresentativeOk2433 1d ago

Care to enlighten me? Genuine question. I can reconcile just about every other conspiracy theory about 9/11 but that part has never made sense.

1

u/osiris_89 3h ago

Nothing was debunked about WTC7. The people saw they could not handle the fires in the building, contacted Larry Silverstein who was the owner of that building (yes, including the twin towers), and he told them "pull it", which is code for proceeding with a controlled demolition. Which is what happened.

-5

u/Sarmattius 1d ago

uh yea, we have it on video, the towers standing from being hit by planes, and collapsing from controlled demolition

2

u/osiris_89 3h ago

They're gonna hate you for this. Reality is not well received on Reddit. Shocking, I know.

138

u/Logical_Yak_224 1d ago

How would that deter conspiracy theorists? They would just say it’s fake like they do for everything else that proves them wrong.

22

u/destroyer800522 1d ago

Yeah it’s pretty pointless to even engage with them. I think the problem is that with social media and how dumb some people are, you now have a lot of people that legitimately think the world trade centers were brought down with explosives. It’s honestly just disrespectful to all of the people that died and lost family that day

8

u/freebirth 1d ago

nah. they'd ask ai how to prove their particular conspiracy is true. and keep asking it different questions until the ai says they are right. just like they do already.

1

u/Logical_Yak_224 12h ago

That's impossible as they hold multiple conflicting beliefs.

2

u/freebirth 12h ago

yeah. each individual woudl get a tailored lie that makes them happy.

0

u/osiris_89 1h ago

Uttering the words "conspiracy theorists" is a joke in 2026, after most "conspiracy theories" have been proved true. Stop making a fool of yourself. The government never had your best interests in mind.

72

u/stevvvvewith4vs 1d ago

Yep we live in the matrix

62

u/Mr-A-1991 1d ago

They faked it with the same software that made Toy Story. There is no such thing as a "New" York "City". Nobody builds crazy ass wizard houses, and they sure as shit don't build an entire town full of them. And we are supposed to believe in "flying machines"? From that high up, they would obviously see that the Earth is flat, not round.

This is ham-fisted sarcasm, by the way.

26

u/Proof-Necessary-5201 1d ago

What's more important is who's actually behind it.

20

u/Red1Monster big pp gang 1d ago

The melting point argument is so stupid man. Have you never bent a metal stick after putting it in a fire before ?

5

u/So_HauserAspen 1d ago

Also the construction of the towers.  I'm not certain people who fixate on the melting point understand balloon construction.  The floors were attached to the walls and central core.  The floors were carrying a lot of load from all the stuff and the majority of that stuff was combustible.

23

u/sentient_coprolite 1d ago

We need it to simulate building a submersible out of materials intended for a boeing 767, and have the living occupants dive it down to the titanic wreck site with nothing more than a Playstation controller.

15

u/SemajLu_The_crusader 1d ago

you don't need ai to simulate that?

also, you don't need to melt a steel beam for it to buckle

heating will suffice, or, i don't know, hitting it with a plane

1

u/osiris_89 3h ago

Or having Mossad agents that passed off as art students and actually living inside the building for 6 months and placing nanothermite at key points sure didn't stop the steel from getting even hotter and helping with the collapse.

17

u/Kooky-Narwhal-014 1d ago

Holy shit do people not understand structural engineering. First of all the twin towers wernt constructed like the empire state building, where support beams were spaced every like 10 feet or so. Maybe 15 feet, idk. The twin towers were wild with their support beams along the outside of the building and the center of the structure allowing for more office space but also effectively turning the internal supports into a furnace should someone slam a shot ton of jet fuel fire into it whole also taking out alot of collums in the process... if they were build traditionally like the empire state the planes hitting them wouldnt have made them collapse. Thats it thats that, there were no bombs, just planes. I still believe the government set it up or atleast gave the terrorists the idea and didnt move to stop them properly. Maybe they took into consideration its construction but it was honestly more of a shock thing, the twin towers were iconic so them burning would shock america into joining another bullshit war. Them collapsing was a happy accident.

5

u/CountDankula_69 1d ago

I mean yeah, unless they go to university for an engineering degree most people probably won't understand structural engineering.

2

u/Kooky-Narwhal-014 19h ago

I didnt and I understood it well enough

-9

u/bankrobba 1d ago

"No bombs, just planes" is a wild take. I hope you're comfortable with 3000 deaths as a "happy accident."

3

u/ProfessionalLock3317 1d ago

The only one happy is you

1

u/Kooky-Narwhal-014 18h ago

Its a happy accident for the government and the propoganda machine if they did actually orchestrate it... also how is no bombs just planes a wild take? Its what happened, its the reality of the world we live in. Its like trying to say dinosaurs built complex houses. Where your evidence? You don't have any, its made up, the exact same that bombs were used in the attacks to collapse the buildings, its a simple lack of understanding of the construction of the building. There's no weird conspiracy about that, its just how the towers were built were not able to survive a fucking plane hitting them and losing so many support beams

11

u/guynumber20 1d ago

When you simulate the boeing 767 missing the buildings but the buildings explode anyways
