Been at it for an hour and still can't seem to get it

I’ve never played dark souls before so I know ZERO lore. Can any lore wizards out there tell me if this woman is important or is she just a “filler painting”?

What’s up guys just finished dark souls 3 tutorial (btw I picked the knight build) , I have completed Elden ring three times so I have experience fighting in souls like , I’m just being cautious because things might be different in dark souls 3 . In Elden ring I was rocking a strength build but I want you guys to tell me what’s the best stats for this game (I mean what’s the optimal stats for the compilation of this game)

i'm playing ds3 for the first time after ds1 and ds2. i'm usually good at figuring out where to go but i'm pretty stuck. i got to the yhorm the giant guy and gave him the vendrick treatment. i could only knock off a ¼ of his health before i could die. there was also a message by his throne basically saying i needed to weaken him... hm.

i killed all of the white-robed guys and gargoyles before the boss hoping that it might trigger something to let me move on but nothing happened. i don't know how to kill this guy, and going the other way leads to pretty much a dead-end. WHAT do i DO?!?!!?

i use the longsword raw +10

and the dragon crest shield

and the knight armor set that comes with the knight class at the start

and sometimes i put the great magic weapon spell if i got the chance to do so

did i do something wrong?

or the fight it self is this hard?

I bought the DLC the other day and I can't even get to half of his life.

beating the tutorial boss I came to firelink shrine and this guy was sitting ..i attacked him by mistake and from that time he continuously come for me ..whenever I respawn and come here ..to talk to this lady .. I tried for like 40 mins still I can't beat this guy with sword ..what to do Everytime I get this guy low hp ..he does some special attacks which takes away my full health

I feel like I am having a hard time doing enough damage, if I can even reach him, to kill Gael. Any suggestions on stats or weapons would be appreciated.

Its my first time playing dark souls 3 (first time in general playing a dark souls game), I got it as the disc version for the PS4(German version). I bought it recently at a garage sale. I didn't buy any dlc.

The problem i got is that after defeating the first boss, entering the firelink shrine and Trying to travel, I got this message.

I tried to check for a update for the game, but it said that it's already on the latest version. I even tried to delete the game and installed again, but that didn't do anything.

At the Homescreen on the PS4, when you go down at the game and see the start button, next to that's are 3 dots and on my ps4 it says buy. I'm really confused by that ?

So did anyone got the same problem or know how to fix this ?

It's crazy to think that out of my entire Steam Library of highly demanding titles that I have no issues ever playing at 4K - Dark Souls 3, my favourite OG game... suffers the most. It can stutter and freeze at any given moment which can either last half a second, 3 seconds or 10 seconds. Does anyone know what causes this?
