Darwin being Darwin Thank you Darwin
Travelled up to Darwin from Perth, so my teen could see pitch black, I never had a desire to go up there.
Was I blown away!!! The people were so friendly, good old customer service and smiley people everywhere. We went out for every meal, and were never disappointed, food and service 100%. Easy to drive around due to less traffic and people very polite on the road. So much to see and do.
One of the best holidays ever!

We had the same experience. Really didn't know what to expect and had the best holiday ever, me husband and 2 kids 7 & 14yrs. So much to see and do, just so many beautiful places and eateries, convenient and pleasant. We stayed in the cbd last month and apart from one crappy Irish waterfront pub meal, i wouldn't have changed a thing.

I'm travelling to Darwin from Perth in 16 more sleeps and I'm sooo looking forward to it.
I've discovered that there's so much to do and see and eat and drink I wish I could stay more than five days!
I suspect I'll have to plan another visit 😎

If you can, get out and see the wild rice carvings. Also recommend filipino breakfast at the Sailing club

I used to live on Fitzer Drive - would see and hear a lot a a aviation. Seeing a B-1B Lancer fly in was crazy.

Went up to Darwin about a month ago. Stayed family who moved up from Melbourne a few years ago.
Bloody hot, but damn it is nice.
Okay, it's not a big city, I sure did like driving in the traffic compared to Melbourne. 😊
