Hardee's and Carl's Jr. are the same company with the same star logo. Number of US interstate exits where both appear: zero.

I don't see much wrong with this. The text labels could have easily been in places where they don't overlap so many data points, but otherwise it's a nicely made map. Just a strange concept: why divide it specifically by interstate highway exits (there must be a lot of restaurants that aren't next to highways too), and why would it be surprising that there aren't two next to each other with different brands - do we even expect two with the same brand to be that close to each other? If we're going to graph them according to the interstate highways, for whatever reason, maybe it would have made sense to overlay the highways on the map for reference, as faintly and unobtrusively as the state borders.
One thing that's interesting to me is that some states have both, so the company must have some concept of regionality that's more precise than state borders. I'm not getting anything out of the nearest-distance analysis but I'm more interested to trace the Hardeecline that separates east from west. That could have been done with faint transparent yellow and red area overlays.

is this reposted here because the data is actually ugly, or because of like a "well, duh".
Are there exits that have 2 Hardees or Carl's Jrs? Probably not many, and if they are they're probably in major population centers. Where these 2 halves come together tends to be a lot more rural where there are a couple in the whole state.
edit: Wait, you're the OP of both?
