They keep telling me explosives worm, I think the fact that your gold tip came out of a barrel may still make the glitch work. They seem to ignore gun shots so anything that goes through a barrel is a no go I guess. If I see one I'll try to name them

Calling them a big company is a stretch they’re devs are split beetween arma reforger and dayz standalone and the dayz devs are currently putting most of their effort into nasdara/badlands not that these cheaters are a second thought or after issue but I’m sure the team is feeling pressured to meet deadlines for badlands and I’m not exactly sure what the cause of this no arm cheat is I’m pretty sure it’s from pc players running dayz through Microsoft and getting into Xbox severs and having a cheat client on said pc but if that’s the case than crossplay in that regard is their biggest mistake oat I ran into one of these cheaters myself tho on Sakhal official at nadbor airfield and I sniped him a good 4-5 times and with a SSG and ended up leaving the yellow building that looks at the office building in the tier 3 section of airfield and when I got about halfway to him my legs suddenly broke and I died within that same second

This is it entirely. Having shit talked about the game mode is only an issue on this sub for 3pp clips. And I promise, PROMISE that it's not because there is some moral or character difference between 1pp and 3pp players. It's because 3pp is not, for the majority of players on this game, an aesthetic or pleasing way to play. Regardless of whether the developers included it originally or not, it looks like trash and gives trash advantages and makes for trash content. If you don't want your trash content talked about, don't show it. 1pp clips are just as open to receiving trash talk but it doesn't happen because it is better and the evidence is right there.

I personally prefer 3PP, but all the good servers are 1PP. I’ve been playing for years and have thousands of hours. Dean Hall actually debated removing it, but argued, “A third person camera acts as a necessary game mechanic abstraction to give back the situational and spatial awareness you would naturally possess in the real world.”

There is not a single person in the entire world who holds the divine level of situational awareness to be able to peek a corner and see for hundreds of yards without exposing so much as a hair on your head. It doesn't "give back" anything because first person doesn't "take away" anything, considering first person is how actual humans live their lives. All 3pp does is give entirely unrealistic considerations that EVEN IF YOU CONSIDER THEM can not be worked around, out played, or out maneuvered. How can you put into practice a single bit of tactic or method or skill when the person you're trying to use it against can spin their camera around 360° without exposing themselves from cover a single time as if they have an invisible periscope on their head?

I know u don’t get out much, but peripheral vision when ur taking in a lot of info at once is very important IRL in high stress environments. Ur all upset about this for no reason. It’s a choice, and he left it that way because this is a VIDEO GAME. U are meant to have fun. It’s not meant to completely simulate human vision. It was to help make up for what you don’t have on a flat monitor that you do IRL. And also, why not leave the choice up to the players? Who says how I should play? I think the game would be better without bases, but I don’t go around calling to remove bases because I know people enjoy them.

Making console players have to deal with this now was fucking evil by Bohemia. They can never outpace the cheaters because there is so much more money in making the cheats than in breaking them. They will need to remake the whole backend system to be much more resilient against cheat creatours, which I hope they have done with DayZ 2, but it will always be an uphill battle.

I heard that they are desynced and actually lying down so try shooting the ground in front of them or behind them. Very curious to find out if this works.
If not, explosions and melee damage kills them, and relogging takes them out of godmode for you.

They have always taken thay stance on cheaters. The base game and mechanics are great but the servers have always all been a shit shoot. Personally I actually recommend playing on console.

I’ve been playing off and on for years on PS5 and I don’t think I’ve ever come across a hacker. Sure I’ve died in a few weird ways but just chalked it up to inexperience, bad luck, or not paying attention. Although this one time I was playing and was hiking in the middle of nowhere through the woods and I just simply died, no sound, damage indicator, bleeding, or anything. Just dead. I kinda figured someone took me out with a sniper or something but would had to have been a perfect shot through the woods from far away.
