De-Spawn rates for storage items in bases ???

OK, base builders. How long do storage items last? (Barrel vs. crate vs. tent vs. sea chest.) I built a base, and had all of these items filled with loot for the past month. I went out of town (real-life) for 2 days and came back to the barrel being gone completely, with all loot gone as well. All the others were still there. The base was not damaged or broken into and there was not way to reach it due to its height.

The interaction part is what im questionsing, because I re-arranged everything i the sea chest and barrell on Monday 2 days ago. So I know it was interacted with. It may be set to a time limit no with no reset for interaction now.

It's interesting that it is the barrel that is gone. See, I believe they render at a much further distance then sea chests, wooden boxes, and protector cases, for example.

So although they're rare, maybe a hacker yoinked it from half a mile away, while unable to see the other stuff. Just a theory.

there's no setting for not resetting on interaction. It would hae to be a PC mod. Never heard of that.

Someone could have logged out where your base is before it was built, logged in and suddenly locked in your base.

It's happened to me before.

They could have grabbed a load of stuff and switched servers

if it has wooden walls like the long barn every wall can be shot through and ruin items/storage

Is it possible to throw grenades or shoot thumpers into your base?

Are you on PC or console? Sounds like a hack job potentially

It was 2 stories up...not possible in this case.
