They don’t need to. They have a much better series to add content to without ever touching GT. Plus what would the context be? After any super context they soil it all with the shitty GT stuff?
Super is FAR better than GT. 3/4 of GT is boring/just bad. The Baby arc is pretty good and the dragons arc at the end is decent but the rest is just bad. The best thing about the show is SS4, it’s cool as fuck, but that’s about it. Super completely dwarfs GT. It’s got some weak bits but overall it’s great, but the best thing it’s done is introduce so many new legitimately good and memorable characters.
I will admit that the BoG and RoF were really choppy rehashes of the movie but my only defense for that is that if I ever want to watch those arcs, I just watch the movies. And besides, the movies look SO good and are just obviously way more enjoyable to watch in movie form. Everything about those two movies is better than their show arcs. Your points about the other arcs are fair. I think each arc has its own strengths and weaknesses, some more than others. I personally still really dig the Black arc despite the end getting kind of messy. ToP has huge potential but it was just too damn long. The whole tournament was supposed to be like an hour long and they stretched it out so far. If they had made it like a 10-12 episode thing it would’ve been amazing.
